I think that would only work if the daughter says that she does not want to be there, otherwise they aren't strictly holding her hostage as she'd be voluntary. But it's been a long time since I've looked at the laws governing this sort of thing.

Tory, we'll just have to disagree, you rather conveniently ignored the second half of my post. The part where I said the mother should be allowed to talk to her daughter. That they won't talk to you is irrelevant in this instance and of course is their right. Now I know you too have been disconected so in that regard you should be allowed access to your husband (or should have been). Every instance of disconnection in Scientology should be used to shame the CoS into reform.

My first wife had a psych problem that made her need attention a lot. She would make friends feel she was totally dependent on them then cause a rift between that person and their family and friends. She left a wake of broken hearted people through her life and still hasn't stopped at 60. She was an individual cult so I know exactly what you are talking about. Very sad for everybody.

I also am a trained auditor, Grad 4, Flag trained and Interned Senior Security Checker, and FPRD auditor. I was in the Sea Org (briefly) and on Staff, at CC and AO, plus I worked briefly at Narconon, Int, and helped with Way to Happiness, ABLE, etc. So that's why they hate me. Of course, also, was an OSA volunteer off and on for 20 years. :)
