She can hold her on without the Doctor and can put the Doctor in his place when he's being daft. & she was the only companion (in DT's era) whose crowning moment was all her own doing. Rose was possessed by the Time Vortex; all she did on her own was pull off a panel. Donna's triumph was the result of Time Lord DNA, not her own strength (still love her, though). Martha survived that horrible year with no one to rely on but herself.

I think Ten at some level realized he was falling for her, but acknowledged his feelings for a little too late ... at "The End of Time"!

this is why i cry for most of the martha/10 videos because they are so tender and sweet. i think david tennant himself in an interview was asked if freema had a boyfriend, it could just be me, but i think he sounded disappointed that she did. he said so himself that she lit up the screen on the show. so maybe not for martha/10 but maybe for david/freema. you never know.
When I saw the title I expected something completely different, so I was kinda pleasantly surprised to hear it was a song I'd never heard before and everything. I also liked the inclusion of Torchwood clips. Very nice. ^_^
Maratha is easlily the best compnion She's smart, funny, pretty, follows both head and heart when needed, knows the risks and takes them. and is brave enough to walk the earth alone & laugh in the master's face when hes about to kiil her. This is a great video, and the song is quite a good description of Martha's character. She is a catalyst, a force to be reckoned with on her own. Nevermind the Doctor, Nevermind the Bad Wolf even... Martha has proven time and time again that she will persevere independently, even through the most harsh elements. Though it seems she usually gets the short end of the stick in every situation, she always lands on her feet, and this really shows that.
Well "Miss Independent" is on Ne-Yo's latest CD, "The Year of The Gentleman". The album and the song were nominated for Grammy Awards. "Miss Independent" won TWO Grammy Awards for "Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song"!

I, too, hope that Ten avows something as far as his relationship with Martha... "Ten" ought to follow suit with Martha before its too late!

This is a great video, and the song is quite a good description of Martha's character. She is a catalyst, a force to be reckoned with on her own. Nevermind the Doctor, Nevermind the Bad Wolf even... Martha has proven time and time again that she will persevere independently, even through the most harsh elements. Though it seems she usually gets the short end of the stick in every situation, she always lands on her feet, and this really shows that.

Well "Miss Independent" is on Ne-Yo's latest CD, "The Year of The Gentleman". The album and the song were nominated for Grammy Awards. "Miss Independent" won TWO Grammy Awards for "Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song"!

I, too, hope that Ten avows something as far as his relationship with Martha... She did point out, however, in her very first trek into the future, that she did not want to be "the rebound", and I'm sure that plays into it somehow. Respect, Martha Jones. (But seriously, how can you fall for a Gallifreyan who hates pears?!)

As has been said many times, most especially by Ten in "Partners in Crime" that Martha and he didn't mean for anything to happen, but that things "got complicated"!
I might add that it appears, from the fan videos, adoring web pages, the meteoric rise of Freema Agyeman in Law & Order, and David Tennant's much acclaimed Shakespearean turn in Hamlet, that the "drama" between this couple agreed with the Doctor Who audience quite well!

Thank you. Ne-Yo's Grammy-nominated "Year of the Gentleman" album is really a masterpiece. "Miss Independent" is just one of its many superb tracks. It suits Martha particularly well. I just hope that The Doctor and Martha get another chance to beautiful music together!

I love your video. The song is perfect for the Doctor/Martha pairing. The Doctor definitely loved her independence. Your editing is really good. I loved your use of series 4 most people tend to use alot of series 3 (which is great), but I liked the Doctor and Martha's interaction in series 4 too.
