@JapaneseAnimationMan I'm a beginner and I've got a 5 string. There's a bunch of 5 stringed songs that I love :) But it depends on what music you're into.
@JapaneseAnimationMan I agree with Elvenluna, always depends what music you are into. I started on 4 string as a beginner just to give myself a bit of practice but moved onto 5 string a couple of years ago.
you realy have to imprve your playing-technics.. the song is verry simple but you did it well ^^.. and the soundquality is verry good.. have a good time man :)
that song must be incredibly boring to play man... i keep expecting something to happen, like a fast bit or a tricky bit, but it's just steady and there :L
dude im thinking of getting that bass right its pretty nice. but its kinda awkward how where you have to rest your thumb so far up man :s. are u resting it on that matal plate if yes is it quite thick so your thumb is comfortable there and wont slip off?? reply please :)
Rhythm is way off, tone is horrible, possibly a bit out of tune, and you're playing notes an octave lower than they are supposed to be. You should be able to play this song completely on the A string of the bass guitar. If you fix all those things then you'll be good.
@metalrocker68 I don't know much about epiphone basses, but i got my 2001 Ibanez SDGR bass about five years ago "used" (new tags and stickers still on it) for $400, and i still love it, full two octaves, great action, and a pretty thin neck which i think helps when coming from guitar.
Great cover dude! Is that sound really coming from an Epiphone bass? Can you please tell me the exact name of the finish and from wich shop did you buy this bass. I think I' m getting one of those!
its a good bass, it has mahogany wood , just as the original EB O gibson basses,for begginers and everybody actually, give it " attack" and you ll hear the wood, not much difference for the real EB gibson on 3,000 usd. cheers!
uhm its good for a beginner bass....but it has massssiveeee neck dive...so its hard to play fast stuff without screwing up i dont like that. and i also dont like the position of the pickups, but other than that its a solid passive bass good for beginners
Mostly right...I when bass first comes in you did it right. You switch from 1 on the A to a 1 E then to an open E which sounded good. Although only do that once...Keep the same rythem but instead after the 1 A switch to a 3 on the D then a 2 on the D then start all over. If it sounds better to you stick to the way you got it. It sounds right to me the way I do it though.
well its easier than guitar...but i mean this song is only what 5 different notes? so its an extremely simple song. Once you get "ok" at the bass and start tryin to learn fastest harder songs - like YYZ - it starts to get alot harder lol. But its pretty easy to learn if you will stick with It and practice daily.
It really depends...I found it easier than guitar...But Guitar is suppose to be the loudest part of the song. You have to be able to move your fingers real fast to play guitar. Guitar switches the fretting much more often then bass. Bass I find easier because it relies more on Rythem and Melody. Bass gives the song the deep sound and driving power in my opinion. So I can move my fingers around pretty well but I've ALWAYS been better with rythem...So I play bass in a band instead of guitar.
sounds good man
