  • Joseph Guarneri made primarily violins for the streetmusicians, tinkers and the lot.

    He turned out also many blanks: violins that are not laquered but just plain.

    A. Stradivari turned out one violin per month (or thereabout) Guarneri one per week.

    The best Guarneri s are from '30 - '40

    Where is Guarneri's own violin? The ex-Viotti. That should be the best ever!

  • I listened to most of the videos like this, and this sounds better than an amati, and much better than a strad. This Del Gesu sounds amazing :)
