1) It's amazing to me how identifiable Carlos' solo is as Carlos. You don't have to be told it's him to recognize it's him.

Why does every video where somewhat prestigious musicians perform together (especially guitarists) end up with a debate over which musicians in the world are better than them? It's as if people imagine real musicians sitting around before a show going, "I'm the ****. No one is better than me."

Most real musicians just want to create something they hope is meaningful and couldn't care less where they stand in any sort of pecking order.

Beauford's really good, but I'd say there are ones better. I would say Dave Lombardo of Slayer is better. Danny Carey of Tool is better. That's all I can think of. Beauford is amazing though.

He recycles all of his licks in nearly every song and solo he performs. The man has skills and is a pro, but subjectively for me there are MANY other guitarists who are more original, creative and diverse with their music. "One note and you can tell it's Santana" because his music, to me, sounds way too much the same.
