My old dog Digg used to climb our chain link fence, just like a kid would do put her paws in the links. Dad solved the problem by putting some link fence on top of the regular fence and curving it inside so she couldn't escape anymore.

When we got a Lurcher puppy from the RSPCA, they insisted on a 6 foot fence all around the garden, and checked it out before we were allowed to have her..Lurchers are superb jumpers, and I went to a lurcher show, and they had high jump competition, and the winner was over 10 foot! they run up and scrabble up the jump [a vertical wooden solid wall] The landing side is padded with straw, but personally I would not want to risk my dog's legjoints doing highjump!

@92BrandonP hey... im pessimist too... u kno wat happened? my friend said: throw a stick in the water... i said no, the dog will hurt itself on the metal wire. friend says nonsense... think happy thoughts. i throw stick. dogs paw gets stuck under a wire as she jumps and rips the webbing so badly she nearly bled to death right there and i had to use dirt to clot it.... afterwards, dog has a seizure from all the stress and shock of blood loss

i had alot smaller dog that could do this but it would climb the fence like a ladder and we put stuff in the way but nothing could stop him ( how to tocuh them is to put them on the fence and slowly pull them up and aftera couple off days theyll get it down and they can climb any fence.one dog would jump on the fence jump across onto the other part then jump back then it would be high enough to jump out that wasn't my dog but it was prety amazing.
