This video introduced me to Amy's music, and I have been hooked ever since. This video was done fantastically, and I have listened to it.. hundreds upon hundreds of times in the last two years, quite literally. It helped me through my breakup, it has soothed me through my severe depression, it invigorates me as well as my now ten year old daughter - She knows all the words, as do I. I showed her this video when she was 8 to explain a bit of my faith to her - and she said it made sense.

The "Religion of Science" is totally New Age. Everything IS connected, that much is true, so it makes sense to us. That does not mean, though, that there is no one creator.

If there is a "higher meaning" to life...it certainly isn't to get our fair share, or everything that we deserve--financially, emotionally, etc. The patterns in the universe have made it clear that we're here to learn lessons. We're all the same when we die, and we're all the same in that we start dying as soon as we're born. No matter how easy or hard of a life one has. The physical world is not "fair," but is at equilibrium. And it is ONLY the PHYSICAL world.

My stepfather died of pancreatic cancer in 2003--did fate put him exactly where he needed to be? Should some child dying of some awful disease, or blown to bits by a suicide bomber, take comfort that it is all part of some glorious divine plan?
