Listen to Edita singing high G's and high F's and then you ll tell me if she has difficulty to reach the high notes. Dessay is of course an "updated" singer, while Grube is old(er) school. But no, she didn't overcome the problems with the operation(s). Problems are there and they have become more than obvious lately.

Try a video called "Edita Gruberova's high F sharps" ....

yup, grube is old school and dessay upgraded.I saw the video u said and I have to admit she sings well....but PLEASE DONT TELL ME that TODAY Gruberova sings BETTER than the OLD Dessay...wat about "spargi d'amaro pianto"? I didnt like at all grube's performance there, while dessay sung it really better and it was RIGHT AFTER her 2nd operation.(the video was uploaded by

well, you can tell for sure that she's a professional but she's not a 10/10.....

even gruberova is better.....and gruberova is 7/10

Dessay would give her liver to have Gruberova's voice. Dessay used to have a splendid voice that is now full of problems, at the age of hmmmmm 40 something....While Grube has always been a vocal miracle. Since 1967 till our days. Read more, listen more...try to find for example Die Entfuhrung with Gruberova under Karl Bohm and read what was Bohm's opinion on Gruberova... (BOEHM's!! Not mine, nor yours).

i know man i know...it's just that from the little of grube's that ive heard (doll song, candide, der holle rache, the laghing song)I can tell that she has difficulty reaching high notes while Dessay rocked and STILL rocks . Wat I'm saying isn't that Grube is doing something wrong, Im just saying that THIS is edita's style...and I PERSONALLY prefer Dessay's style.And Dessay's voice doesn't have problems NOW it USED to have but she's taken operations....give her a chance...wat about Edda Moser?
