  • random question, do you know what costumes require horns besides devil?

  • Wow!!!! That is so cute!!!!

  • these are really good, but how well are the gunna stay on your head?

  • @DemonVie Heya- I think they stayed so-so. I sold this pair to someone and they told me that they were a bit heavy but it worked for them. I think that if I were to make them again I would definitely make them from a lighter clay and use a stronger glue, like e600, rather than hot glue. Thanks for your feedback, I think you're right!

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial!!!!!!

  • O____O I LOVE THOSE HORRRRNS!

  • what kind of clay and pant do you use?

  • wow i luv the horns ^w^

  • I think the idea is great... but 1. it´s really hard to see what exactly she´s doing, it´s so fast... and- doesn´t this hurt like hell? I mean, the wire is stucking in your skin, isn´t it?!

  • Ur awesome. I think I know how people make them for Cons and stuff.

  • There's all different kinds of materials people use. I saw someone using some kind of foam that looks super realistic and light weight. I'd like to learn that because even though I like the look of these, they're very heavy.

  • This is useful, since I love succubuses! The horns you made were really beautiful, but I might go for green ones! n_n

  • Cool! XD when I was learning how to be a tattoo instructor, I had my first tattoo and they were succubus wings on my back. Of course I don't ACT like a succubus, but I have my reasons n...n

  • That's just epic O.O I don't want tattooed wings on my back, but I am planning to buy a little backpack with pvc-ish devil wings on it ;3 And probably getting a pair of those hoof-shoes, they're adorable!

Although, I will get myself a tattoo once I turn eighteen, and I am actually rather interested in making tattoos.

  • I was never one who liked horns, I go more for the kitty ears, but once you painted and put on the wiring- zomg it looked so epically beautiful that I want to go out and make my own pair right away Amazingly beautiful. Loved it^^

  • Interestingly, I'd kinda rather wear horns than kitty ears. XD That's kind of funny. I'm glad you like the wire part. To me, that's what makes them kind of special and makes me like them. I know it's not everyone's taste, but I like when it strikes a chord with someone.

  • this is an exalent tutorial but im having problems twisting them mine just break off or crack :(

    please help!

  • Sometimes if polymer clay cracks, it's because it's too cold. The warmer polymer clay like this gets, the more pliable it is. Make sure you've really warmed it in your hands and kneaded it. As you knead it, it should be smooth. If it cracks when you squish it between your hands, then it's likely still too cool and likely to crack when you twist it. Conversely, if it's too floppy and warm, put it in the fridge for a moment to firm it up again.

I hope that will help <3

  • Ouuuui Je suis Jalouse!!!

    Good choice in music. XD

  • i love it! gonna try it n.n

  • uwa!~ awesome!~ imma try it! :D

  • those look beautiful! you're such an inspiration. Thank you for being kind enough to upload these videos.

I totally know what you mean about the long nails, they're a pain in the arse when chopping food and kneading dough. -_-

  • Hey, no prob. o.o Sorry, I get a little shy about compliments, but I appreciate it.

Eek. Nails and kneading dough. I picture a big mess. x...x

  • Omg! I love them xD.I'm being a Devil for halloween so...Can you tell me more about the wire thing though(sorry not most crafty person ever) Also what clay did you use?

  • I responded before, but it's not popping up, so I hope this won't be a double post.

Sorry for not getting back in time for Halloween! I used polymer clay, the kind you bake to harden. The wire is hard to describe because you just kind of do what you need to do to get it to stay. I replied in more detail to someone asking that question two down, so you can check it out there. Sorry again!

  • What type of clay did you use?

Would I be able to use it for jewelry?

How long did your clay bake for, and would I be able to bake it in a toaster oven?

  • The box may be a little hard to read, but it's Sculpey. You can use any kind of clay you want. This is a polymer bake to harden clay. A polymer air dry clay like Lumina may be lighter to wear. Your choice.

You can make just about anything you want out of polymer clay, including all kinds of jewelry. It's up to you.

Follow the directions on the back for how long to bake and whether or not you can use a toaster oven. I don't have one, so have never needed to find out.

  • wow so professional looking! amazing! im subscribing :)

oh and i got lost during the wire-ing part can you explain a little more? :)

  • I didn't do too much detail in the wiring part because there aren't really any specific ways to do it. You just wrap it up how you like. Getting it to grip a round surface is a little tricky though, so if you grab a wire with the pliers and twist it like you're trying to coil it, it will make a little Z or S shape which actually looks pretty cool and cinches the wire more tightly, which helps it grip. Hope that helps.

  • Wow thanks for the goods. Could you tell me what song you used? It's quite lovely

    thanks

  • Thanks! It's in the video description. <3

  • Oh, wow! I should try this! totally awesome, by the way! (but I'm really no good with a paint brush. LOL.) Eh, I'll try it. I wonder if I could make really short deer antlers? xD Then I'll walk around with them on, and people would stare. xD. Ooh! I can make rainbow antlers! :D

  • You really should! As for painting, the good thing about this project is that it's kind of more like you slap paint on it. You don't need a ton of painting skills. Try a metallic paint to help give it a little sheen and natural highlighting without having mad painting skills n.n As for making deer antlers, technically I'm sure you could, but it might be a bit heavy! You could try making a form first out of foil and covering or try a lighter clay like Hearty or I've seen great antlers made >>>

  • with foam. I think it's some kind of upholstery foam? I'm not sure. Anyway, there is a "faerie fashion" community on Live Journal with a lady who makes great foam horns, but very lightweight. Check them out?

Rainbow horns would be scary awesome cool. OMG, with glitter! XDDD Maybe glowsticks? XD Okay, that'd be overkill.

PLEASE show rainbow horns if you make them! lol n.n

  • how long did u bake them on wat temputure

  • Refer to your package of clay. It may vary by brand or by the thickness of your clay. : )

  • Hilarious about the emo part. Keep up the good work. Or else. Muahahahahaha!

  • Oh crap. XD Or else what? XD

I'm a bit more busy now with business, but I'd still like to keep making videos. <33

    Than you for watching!

  • Or else no more cookies? Yes, that's it. None at all! Not even the burnt ones! And just forget about licking the spoon.

  • I really LOVE you horn and kitty ears video, shall we be expecting more? and can I order from you?

  • Oh... I'm sure I'll make some more clay videos. Actually, I did all the recording for one just today, but they're not for horns or anything. I just need to do the editing. I actually have like, four videos needing editing right now. I should get hopping!

As for ordering with me, just send me a message telling me what you're thinking and I'll see if we can work something out. <3

  • I wonder,,,if you could make tiny vampire fangs out of the clay,,bake them,,get some of that molding wax or whatever it's called and fit them to your teeth......-wonders to self if it would work.- what do you think?

  • You know, I'm not sure. I mean, I think it probably -would- at least physically. Check and see if your clay is toxic or anything. XD Make Magazine on YouTube made a super pair using acrylic. You could check their video! <3 Tell us if your clay idea works. <3

  • nice tutorial, and very artistic. I think i'll make some sometime or other.

and I <3 the smileys etc you used throughout the whole thing lmao XD

  • I swear I can speak English, but sometimes a ':D' really does the job quite well.

Thanks for watching it. <3 I hope you'll give me feedback whenever you're so inspired! And I'd also like to see your finished horns.

  • Great tutorial, I'm going to try it myself. Thanks for making it =)

  • I'm glad you're giving it a try. I'd love if you'd share the results! I have yet to see any from someone who's been making it. You could be the first! <3

  • I'll try and show you when I'm done =3.

  • i absolutely loved loved this project!! i am in the process of making it right now. wish i had a vid camera to show you the outcome.

  • I'd love to see it, somehow! If you have a digital camera or a cell phone, you can snap some pics for me and send them my way and I'll put them into a slideshow for you if you want... then you can upload it to your account or show it off to your friends or whatever you like! (plus we could all see it, here.)

  • That was awesome! Minus the finger cutting thing of course, lol!

  • No way! The cut is the best!! XD

I did that a few days before while I was trying to cook in a hurry for friends. I'm so smart. ALWAYS USE A CUTTING BOARD, KIDS! : )

Thanks for commenting again, OckGal- I love hearing from people who've watched. It's so motivating!

  • I suppose you could think of those little mishaps as storytellers. "I got this cut while making dinner." "I got this cut while snipping out coupons."

  • This is great! I tried to make devil horns last year for Halloween. Too bad I waited 'til 8 PM on Halloween. Were I a devil in a blue dress again this year, I could follow your tutorial! This is awesome.

  • Great! Go you! I hope you do give it a go and have a fabulous Halloween with it. <33

  • Oops! I missed your comment! I try to catch every one, so I'm sorry I overlooked it. <3

How did those horns end up turning out? I've made the five minute costume before; wings and makeup. ;...; I hope to finally have a real costume. I haven't had a costume in five or more years... it really bums me out!

(Psssh, you should make the horns NOW and wear them anyway!)

  • what did you use? was it clay or something else?

  • It's Polymer Clay! I think it was Sculpey brand. In the beginning, you can spy a box there and pause it. I think it's Sculpey... you could use Fimo, or whatever brands there might be. It's also a good way to recycle old clay bits because you'll just be painting over them.

  • I have one thing to tell you..

    I.LOVE.THIS.TUTORIAL!

  • Thank you, thank you! I'm so glad! It's so cool just doing what you like to do and then knowing someone enjoyed it. Please feel free to always give me your feedback!

  • Cool, great choice of music too. :)

  • Awesome. <3 Isn't it fun? I got the lyrics translated once, so cute, too!

  • XDD omg I am so glad I favorited you. <3

  • Aw! Darlin' that's so sweet to say! I'm so glad you did, too. It's really awesome knowing someone enjoyed watching this. It was a crap load of fun making this stuff and it's fun to share!

  • I love this project! I also love the way you filmed it and your cute commentary. What is the song artist, please?

  • Thanks! I worry about my commentary, sometimes. I'm not exactly your typical cutsey crafter. I have a mouth dirtier than my sailor husband's and it's been hard curbing it for the videos! XD

The song is "Je Suis Jalouse" by Emily Loizeau, and if you're ever wondering about future songs, I always put it in the video description. <3

    Thanks for watching!

  • Added to faves and it looks like you had some fun ^^.

  • Thanks for making it a fav. <333 I totally -did- have fun. I love making things when I know who will be wearing them. I get a major kick out of knowing I get to create something for somebody on custom, because they're so excited about it for a costume or a dance or wedding or whatever it is in the case. It gets me all excited, too. D:

  • very nice Im gonna try this! I love the song on here too!

  • Please do! They're not too time consuming, and there's a lot of room for your own interpretation. The first time I tried I was thinking 'huh, I could twist it... nah, that would be too easy. Oh... wait, that looks kinda cool!' I was surprised how simple it was to form the clay and it left plenty of time for the fun stuff: the decorating!

I'd really, really like to see what you make. Post a link or a reply or something so we can all see!

  • Hooray! That was fantastic. I also like when you show your goof-ups with commentary. "Oh...Piss." BHAHAHAHA! So cute, so true.

  • Hehheh... yeah, awesome. XDDD Well, hey, it's not like I'm perfect! This is only the second time I've made a pair of horns. I was trying to get the spirals to go the same way, but then that made the entire horn body spiral in a copy, not a mirror. Bah! D:

But thanks. XD Thanks for watching. Many hearts!

  • Those are great, sweetie!! Someday I'll have to have you make me a pair, too :-p Or I can just make them myself. I have like three centuries worth of polymer sitting in the apartment. Great job!!!!! <3<3<3

  • Woooaaaah.... D: I want! I bought this clay off an artist friend at the Artist Garage Sale for only 2 bucks! Yay for deals!!

Please, please, do try your own! You could also do kitty ears or whatever weirdness you want. I'd love to see someone make these, it would be so fun <3333

But I would also love to make you a pair. I could maaaybe even make you a pair in exchange for some of that clay! HA! XDD

  • Excellent! You do beautiful work, both the horns and the video production.

  • Thanks! Wow, well... you have no idea how nice having a video editing software makes video production. My first video took me ten hours... but by this point, I was able to clip it down and pop it together in around one or two.

I also appreciate your compliment and I hope you'll try to make some, too! <33
