  • Awesome Video. Thanks! :)

  • This woman is who I want to be, knowledgeable. I am 20 and I am interested in being completely self-sufficient one day. That is my dream.

  • I am interested in Herbal Medicine and going to study it in Uni

I love you Susun, I am interested in studing Herbal Medicine.

  • i've always nad terribla acne.

  • can u tell opf any injestable herbs for acne healing and prevention?

  • A great many pass judgment without considering what is being said - they let a person's appearance color their vision. Whether she is dressed as a hippie, yippee or business woman - listen to what is being said. She is saying to be more self reliant in one's pursuit of their health. Use what is at hand, don't just run to the doctor, ER or drugstore for a remedy.

  • This is a beautiful woman inside and out. She doesn't care what people think of how she looks, she knows she is healthy and self reliant. I wish more people were like her to teach others about herbal medicine! It would be an honor and a privilege to learn from this woman!

  • thank you Susan. so glad, i just found you on here. i have some of your books, and am so excited to see you. i have been using herbs for various things for years and have not needed doctors at all. it is wonderful to know that you can aid your body in the healing process if you know a little about natural herbal remedies. so hard for many people to believe that something natural and cheap or free can really do the trick, and without awful side effects.

  • Awesome! I couldn't agree more! Thank you and keep it up!

  • i like your friends, i like them tooo :)

  • I share your misgiving about mainstream medicine beginning to embrace herbal medicine. I fear that they (doctors/pharmacists/health insurance, etc.) could potentially gain a stranglehold on herbs and prevent me from freely obtaining the herbs I use. This would jeopardize my self-reliance, which I depend upon and utilize in my daily life.

  • Susun, you are very inspirational. I am trying to learn about healing herbs, as I have been sick for awhile, and I have not been able to find a single doctor that has been able to help me so far, so I am turning to Mother Nature.

  • I am a firm believer in herbal medicines, and it's wonderful that this woman feels this way...However, her approach to this topic ie.(the hippie look, the "happy faces" on the flowers etc...) is EXACTLY the reason herbal medicine is not taken seriously. I have no problem with this woman (her fashion style, demeanor or obvious knowledge) But to be taken seriously (especially in the medical field) she needs to speak and appear, not as a 60's refugee, but as an intelligent, legitimate authority

  • actually herbal medicine IS taken seriously. A third of Americans use herbal medicines on a regular basis and the US government has spent more than $22 million to help medical and nursing schools start teaching about alternative medicine. Many more positive statistics for those interested to do the research.

  • I think this person means taken more seriously then traditional medicine. the Big battle.

What do you feel about the Natural cures they don't want you to know about?

  • who is "they"?

  • Sorry Im talking about the book series that is advertised on TV. "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About" Its by Kevin Trudeau

  • @wisewomantradition, If you don't know who "they" is, you're probably one of them.

  • "they" are special interest governmental and medical groups, chemical medicine start-up companies, and financial supporters of such groups. "they" are out of control. North American is SO far behind Europe and Asia when it comes to herbal medicine.

  • @11harrison11 So, you are o.k. with the licensed physicians who dispense their 'drugs' to everyone and these same drugs mame and kill? The plants were given by the Creator. The drugs that are used by the 'accepted' community are 'synthetic'. You need to do more research about what came 'first' and it was not the drugs that you see as medicine today from the AMA

  • my dream is to teach my children what is good and what is not good to eat/use from the 'wild' ...we've made a start, ..go out collecting various fruits and such but I'd love to learn it all...do I sound greedy ? I am , very greedy for this knowledge :] .

    peace

  • LOVE the pig's ear story! You are fabulous!
