  • Woah. Cool.

  • ur very good

  • MAN!!! Exclenete trabajo!!! A++

  • You should make a CD with The Beatles covers... you're absolutely fantastic! And yes, you could also change the lyrics and use the music to create a brand new song... I'm sure everybody will love it. And of course, this version, is absolutely perfect. :)

  • Stumbled upon this, and buddy, you nailed it!

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!great job!!

  • I'm sure you have been asked this a million times, but this is an AMAZING cover, is there any way you can put up the tabs to this? I would love to try to learn it!!!

  • Arrangements are fabulous ! Picking with talented dexterity ! Voice soft and correct! It's all good no matter what other sadly say negative stuff with no argument to weight it! I was wondering how it would sound with softer nuances in the voice a little à la Michael Bublé, it is just an idea. I don't want you to be someone else! You are very interesting! Keep up the hard work, keep sharing!:.)

  • beatiful voice woooow

  • Loved the music (and the dual capo thingy :P), but like many others, i think it would be better as an original :)

  • Pretty cool, a little on the slow side but still honest and heartfelt and definitely your own interpretation. I am in love with my Beatles so that's big of me to say ;)

  • dude its cool but just change the words, it ruins the beatles " we can work it out".

but would be a good original.

  • no, just no. to the arrangement

    great vocals though!! :)

  • dude im feelin this.

  • Also, I was looking for a soft version of this piece, and found you.. so big THANKS!

You know something? this version its so perfect that it sounds like the songs that appears on TV shows like Grace anatomy, smallville.. or stuff like that...you should look for a way to make Paul Mc Cartney listen to this haha! Congrats again!!!

  • I absolutely adore it! congrats!

  • I think this is sp refreshing and a FAB version. How talented you are!! (Damn good looking, too!!)

  • Sounds very nice, Paul would be proud! Keep at it!

  • Sounds like a crappy Avril Lavigne tune.

And yes, your voice is pretty ordinary.

  • worst voice i ever heard stick to your day job

  • You basically created a new song as you mentioned,do you have any '100 %' originals?

Like the late Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd, you sing the same way as you talk not trying to sound american.

  • looking forward to a McCartney concert next week.

    nice style, genuine rendition.

  • you sound just like the lead singer of nizlopi. very nice sound.

  • I don´t know if someone is going to agree, but i think that your version is better than the beatles, you have made of "we can work it out" a better song...

    Congratulations from argentina

  • you've got a lot talent man! thanks for posting!

  • beautiful- the lads would be proud!

  • beautiful flow you got going lad..good stuff.

  • i was prpared not to like this because I don't like my beatles messed with but I have to admit. it's great!! Is that open G?

  • Rob, this is really beautiful man...the arrangement really brings the lyrics front and center and makes you hear them and more importantly feel them. You've created a wonderful piece here!

    Andrew

  • wow !!!!!! :) great

  • NICE!

  • wow. its amazing the increadable things you can find on youtube.

    amazing man.

  • this is excellent!

  • very good !!!!

    amazing!!

    green fingers Brazil

  • ur amazing

  • Superb !

  • Really good !

  • Nice job brother! Really man, I thought it was pretty amazing changing the music and as you would call it the arrangement! you should see if they'll (beatles/paul) let you do your cover as a single! It would be a hit for sure! Thanks bro!

  • Very deliberate and heartfelt. I really enjoyed this. Great job.

  • phenomenal! I love your version! It actually has a fairly eastern feel to it. Brill!

  • This is such a pretty version, & you play with a lot of feeling. I sent it to a friend of mine who is battling cancer, & he loved it, especially the "life is very short" part. :)

  • Oh man you sound so good! I agree with the fact that you could put your own words and make it your own amazing tune. My point of u is that this song should keep the happy guitar rythm but I might be wrong. ö

  • wow man,

    great stuff

  • Man this is awesome! I am a Beatles purist who doesn't like their music f---'d around with but ya done really, really good! I'd like to here some other arrangements (can't believe I am saying that) of some other Beatles songs - keep it up. Great job

    Peace, Craig

  • this is awesome im trying 2 work my own arrangements for songs, 2 get my fingerpicking better, just doing it with simple songs like sweet georgia brown at them moment. Do you know of any good tabs, or acoustic guitar arrangement books that might help?

    great playing bro

  • amazing

  • outstanding

  • Rob, it sounds excellent, but I think (For what that's worth!) You ought to put your own words across, what is totally, your own tune. The vocal is just dso good that it shouldnt be bound by someone else thoughts, though, yeh its true, you gotta love 'em (And yep, that's the title surely)

  • sweet dude,i had to go digging for my other capo,so i could try it like this.

i just love some peoples new takes on some old songs!

  • Please post more of your works like this, it's phenominal.

  • ...nice

  • Great guitar playing and great voice. I would change the words and make the song yours. Call it "Gotta love em" as you said in your intro. I know the beatles song inspired you to come up with this version but add some new lyrics, strings and drums to your guitar playing and voice and it could sound fantastic.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Chris

  • you just have to sit there and simply go "wow"...just when you think u've heard it all....

  • this is good

  • THis is really good. I actually prefer this version depending on my mood. It's really mellowed out. Good cover bro.

  • ?? u just used the words lol

  • This gave me goosebumps...

  • Rob, that was fab!

  • Will you sing to me...You sound amazing...a true artist indeed. Marry me! =) just teasin..loved it!

  • Great arrangement!

  • Wonderful...

  • it is really good song man, but i won´t called it a beatles cover, because it hasn´t the spirit of the original song. but is really a good song, you made it your song

  • all i can ask is why? why whould u ever do that to an amazing song? u butchered it the beatles were amazing musical artist and u have no right to deface a masterpeice that the beatles wrote! no other muscian can ever match what the beatled did when they were together. As a musican myslef i would never even dare to rewright a beatles song, im not saying that u cant sing or play the guitar u do those very well, but u had very bad judgement in trying to change a masterpeice. it just isnt done!

  • yeah, this is quality man. I imagine it would sound awesome with some backing vocals / harmonies thrown in. |speicially like what you've done with the bridges| nuff respect

  • XxeternaltwilightxX ..chill out he done a beautiful job.. Dont take things so personal..lighten the hell up!

  • i didnt say that he didnt do a beautiful job

but yea any way rob u did a beautiful job

  • It's a slower more soulful version. Your Brit accent adds credibility. I totally support your arrangement, as I am working on one myself. Good luck man!

  • I must say I really liked this... and you have a very nice voice!! =0)

  • If you try and see it as a beatles cover it skews your judgment i think. Looking it as a song in its own right uncover a sparkling gem and a beautiful arrangement using beatles lyrics. I can hear beatles influences in certain phrases which makes it even more of a pleasure to listen to. Cyroluzindo- you can do this to a beatles song when the result is like this. Very well done

  • It sounds really good. Great cover. Love Stevie wonders version too. ::D

  • This is not an entirely different song. It's like when you gut a house and rebuild it. It still has the original frame. Well, I can still hear the original song somewhere in there. Personally, I like the original, but it's an interesting arrangement.

  • you can't do this with a beatles song

  • well, firstly, it's great! secondly, it has nothing to do with the beatles song, but that's okay. it's a totally different song, but you borrowed the lyrics, but that's no crime ;-). i like it! 5 *

  • u know rob this cover is simply great, i would love to have this song why dont you put it on internet, simply a great cover! congrats

  • excellent :) nice one mate! hah you have actually managed to change everything :)

  • very very well done

  • Great version man, i love beatles thanx!!!

  • I thought this was going to be crap (Most Beatle covers are) but I decided to watch it anyway to discover a real diamond in the rough. I actually prefered it to the Beatles version. You're a 5 Star You Tuber my friend.

  • thats my favorite beatles song. pretty nice job with changing it up a lot

  • great cover dude.

  • hey Rob big 5* for such a creative cover, i love it!

  • Very nice, looks like snow patrol

  • that.

    was.

    SO.

    good.

you sing so well! and that was an amazing arrangment of that song!

terrific job, you should do more beatles :)

  • Very fine version. Congratulation

  • Nice job, I actually was going to try doing this acoustic too

  • I think it's great man, very nice.

I play guitar to, could you say how you play this? You can just say what chords you use or maybe you could Tab it for me?

  • great voice

  • I BET your a fan of 'yes' (yessongs)

cuz it reminds me more of them

    but you got decent voice

kinda sound like young phil collins

    keep up mate!

  • robhowell, you wouldn't happen to be related to Amy-Lee Howell would u? Please reply?

  • 5/5 bravo... nice work

  • goood, very good ! i like your arrangement!!

  • wow great song =)

  • you suck

  • Dude you should, change the Lyrics and call it your SOng

  • Very nice :)

  • awsome man you should make a how to video or write a tab and post it somewhere.... as that other person said its got a john mayer feel and the beetles and john mayer are the best so good job on combing them... thx for the great song man

  • That was horrible. Simon Cowell would agree.

  • i gave it four stars, i wanted to give it three or a five, five b/c it's a great arrangement, but a three b/c it really didn't have to be "We Can Work it Out" at all.

  • good job!

  • i really liked that, man. beautiful

  • very john mayer style..don't know i u got any inspiration from him?

    Anyways amazing job mate

  • great job man, i didn't expect something like this to be honest.. i came in to watch this video to see how someone could destroy a great song, but surprisingly impressive stuff man! good one!

  • Sweet rendition! - Maine, USA

  • Great, Great work :)

  • One of the reasons I love this song so much is because of the catchy melody. It's completely gone here! However, this version IS very creative!

  • very original. great job - 5stars.

  • I liked your version; it's very Lennon... It reminds me of "Beautiful Boy".

It's the first time that I hear a Beatles cover that's actually slower than the original.

  • it's good, very good, but still i like the beatles-version better.

    partly cuz i'm a die-hard beatlesfan,

but also because this song, good as it is,

doesn't come te me as something very new and unique..

    still pretty good job though!

  • Pretty bold move messin' with the Beatles stuff, but your version is so awesome that I think it was a risk worth taking. The melody is so good though that I would have considered writing your own song for this.

    Five stars!

  • Put your own words to this please brother, this is a great tune!

  • meh. clearly talented but this just wasnt for me.

  • One of my favorite Beatles songs. I must admit I was a little uncertain, but you did one hell of a job.

  • beautiful voice...

  • amazing! what else could be said? one of the best Beatles covers here on youtube...keep on doing it your way!

  • omg great work keep going 5 stars

  • There are thousands of people who can sing it just like the Beatles, but very few who try to do something original with the material. Great job. 5 stars.

  • great!

  • Your arrangement is superb, as is your performance - talented man

  • what you worked out is to emphasize the melancholy of the lyrics, hidden up to now by the apparently happy original melody. incredible job!

  • Your talking voice sounds A LOT like Jim Sturgess

  • Sounds alien but damn great!

  • Show off..............Super arrangement

  • omg great

  • shitty

    but great :P

  • nice capoe thing going there!

  • There's a lot of well-known bands which would have changed the title and pretended this to be a new song of their own. You're very honest and talented. Cheers from France.

  • FUCKING GREAT VOICE MAN

  • I FUCKING HATE YOU

  • great cover!!....I thought it sounded a bit like Jack Johnson

  • A very nice cover, man. Definitely a Dave Matthews vibe (as others have noted), but a great spin on a true classic.

  • It´s the most beautiful Cover I´ve ever heared

    Congratulations my Friend

    Foe

  • great rendition! :D

  • if it's not broke don't fix it mate... not for me thank-you

  • agreed but u have a great talent here. keep it up!

  • That's pretty awesome man, I like that arrangement

  • I think you like Dave Matthews band... just a bit. hahaha... Great version... very nice tune. Bring us more...

  • I really like it, nice tune, nice going, do sth with it! from argentina the best wishes

  • nice going man, keep it up

  • That is amazing. You need to write a song for that music...it will sell dude

    beautifull sounding tune

    cheers from Canada

  • Really really good, you should have written other lyrics and made it completely your own as you have done with the music.

  • no sta mal desde ESPAÑA un saludo

  • qué gran versión!!

    Desde España, muchas felicidades

  • This is great!

    A complete new song!

  • thats really good i was hoping it wouldnt suck but you turned it a nice acoustic version. get some ppl to play drums and bass with it

  • Man... my connection is too slow today.. i just heared the first part and, for me, its a completely different song, where you put the lyrics of we can work it out. I have to desagree of the other comments.. i dont think its a new version of the song.. its another song with the same lyrics..

  • Rarely do you hear a new version of a beatles song that not only does it jutice but gives the listener a wonderful fresh sense of the joy of the song. Great job. I would like to hear this on the radio. keep it up

  • Quality - It's as simple as that!

  • That's a great song, and the version is really beautifull.

  • Top of the class sir: Love all the 'alternates' here - tuning, strumming style etc and melody. I look forward to watching future posts. I've always thought 'We Can Work it Out' was a great song but somehow missing something.. this could be it. Congrats again. I'm subscribing on the back of this alone - I'd be interested to hear what you thought of my vids. Peace

  • Hey man, cool thing you did with the song! It was also cool to see a fellow guitarist use their fingers instead of a pick, I never use one. Well done keep it up, You know I also found it cool because I heard a piece in that song that sounded like Dear Prudence from the White album, did you intend on that?

  • Can ya pass along some tabs/chords? :)

  • This is a really good piece. At fist I thought it was going to be total crap because you changed the melody but it works your way too. It's very hard to alter the Beatles melodies and make them sound good.

  • Excellent rendition. Very nice.

  • I think this arrangement is incredible! You have taken a classic and managed to recreate it into a something that itself is a classic. I am a DJ in the U.S. and I truly appreciate this!

  • Like your guitar work, nice job.

  • Brilliant, Rob! Wonder what Paul will think?

Looking forward to hearing you live at the Eastgate, Peebles on Aug 11th x

  • Very nice cover and idea .
