LETS ALL WRITE TO CAPCOM, EA, UBISOFT... A DINO RIDERS GAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED A DECADE AGO. HOW COULD A MOVIE OR VIDEO GAME STUDIO NOT CASH IN ON THIS? SERIOUSLY! I WAS THINKING OF A STRATEGY GAME, MORE LIKE "RED ALERT: COMMAND CONQUER"
I honestly think they should make a movie! Imagine dinosaurs like the FIRST Jurassic park movie with people riding them and lasers! It would be BAD ASS!!!
I always wanted the t-rex, my parents said it was way too expensive, anyway, I remember the christmas I got my 1st dino riders: the pteranodon and the deinonychus, that was a great moment, I don't believe there is a better toy line.
I collected them as a kid, but stupidly, I gave them away when I got into middle-elementary. I had quite afew, but I was so upset when my rich brat friend in Kindergarten showed me that he had ALL of them, grr. I never ended up getting a really big dino, the biggest I had was Edmontonia, eventually I got a big one at christmas, the Mammoth, from the ice age version of it. When Jurassic park came along, I kept most of the toys I bought that time, and I still have them :)
I always saw the ads, but never the toys. None of my friends had them. And when I go on toy hunts at flea markets, just like Starcom toys, you just don't see them.
OMG my friend down the street had the T-Rex while I had the Brontosaurus. I'm glad I had cool toys when I was a kid. Nowadays the kids have Transformers that don't transform, Bratz, and Bakugan (whatever that is).
I forgot that the deinonychus had the button to make him run! And the styracosaurus was sharper than it looked: I stepped on it when I was four and the horn went through my foot. Still have the scar. Wish I still had the toys though :(
if they didn't narrate this then you'd have no idea whats going on. especially the last commerical, they are walking toward each other then next to each other.
I totally had the triceratops and the deinonychus rider when I was a kid. I loved them, but they got chewed up by my dog. TOTALLY forgot about that until now. Thanks!
@busterdog321 Ha! That's hilarious. I didn't catch that until I re-watched the clip. I guess the anachronism could work if you figure that they're time travelling. After all, the Rulons did realize somehow that they arrived on prehistoric Earth. So if they're calling the planet by the same name that we do, perhaps they've continued celebrating Easter far into the future.
Wow! The toy commercials were just as exciting as the show!
With everything else being re-booted and introduced to a new generation of kids, it baffles me that this one hasn't!
I mean C'mon, Dinos with friggin' lasers, it's the greatest idea ever, and kids will eat it up! The folks who came up with this must have known that they were on to something good!
Oh, man this brings back memories of constantly begging my parents to get every single toy from this series lol. I wish I still had them lol. Harness the power, Dino-Riders for life!
i´m from the heart of europe, from austria. Even i have had some dino riders back in my childhood. Sadly everythings gone, i was looking for this stuff on ebay, prices for them are awesome!
ive got the whole set of dino riders in my garage in storage along with gi joe set and the full transformer set..sadly not all are still in original boxes ..kinda hard to keep a toy boxed wen your a kid but meh..ill hand em down to my son one day
I had: Ankylosaurus, both Deinonychus, Diplodocus, Edmontonia, Kentrosaurus, Monoclonius, Pteranodon, Pterodactyl, Valorian Quetzalcoatlus, Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Getting T-Rex is my alltime favourite Christmas moment: it was hiding behind the curtain, and I said "This is big enough for T-Rex!" I then tore off the first bit of wrapping paper: "It IS T-Rex!" Magical.
I never had any of the toys, but of course i wanted them, T-rex with motorized walking was badass. I still have a tape of the cartoon, toy commercials were pretty badass back then.
Even the Smithsonian itself found the toys to be politically correct that they commissioned the toy manufacturers to produce a line of dinosaur toys to sell at the Smithsonian gift shops.
I have the Tyrannosaurus and have enough rulons to put on every seat. That is my prized toy that I own and one that I will never get rid of. Also I have the monoclonius, pteranadon, 2 ankylosaurus, Saurolophus, and Triceratops.

@TonyDamazio Another idea is that it would make for a good RTS Game. Think about that, and maybe it would be worth it.
