it says this was on during a south park commercial, I'm guessing this is a joke from their producers because they actually do a whole episode picking on scientology lol..
Believe me, if you JOIN $cientology (Dianetics is just a "hook") and then you wanna get out, you will definitely have discovered one of your greatest fears! LoL
"There's a base on this planet and it is so shredded away as to be hardly recognizable. There were, then, uhhh, anybody tries to do anything about this, uhhh, he's apt to get a flashback so you mustn't going around talking about being the people who are going to save the planet. You are the people the planet obeys. You are the people who own the planet. You are not the people who are going to save the planet. And, thereby, you will save it"
Damn no matter what I've said about the crazy cult of scientology, I gotta say, I love that theme. I remember as a kid hearing that theme in the 80's actually made me want to buy and read dianetics. That exploding volcano, that was some awesome shit. But even at a young age, had I actually read dianetics I would laughed my ass off at how crazy and incoherent L Ron is/was.
Hey when the cult is finally dead and gone, I call dips on that theme. I'm going to use it to sell time shares in Jersey.
That "theme" you love is actually a carefully orchestrated sound that plays to your subconsciousness. When your brain hears those three specific notes, dopamine is released, causing a sudden moment of curiosity. It's an "attention getter" so to speak, to make people watch their commercial.
I just saw this play on Comedy Central so I was expecting there to be some sort of stupid gag right at the end but was surprised to see it was for dianetics at the end instead.
Yeah on Chanology News. They're morons for spending hundred$ of thou$and$ on this tactic, but fuck 'em - long as it's bleeding the warchest dry and they get no results, it's all for the lulz.

My fiance told me he saw this on tv the other night. We laughed.
#1) Anyone concerned for their mental health is not going to get info off of a tv add. They're going to go see a doctor.
#2) The website isn't even working right now. I've tried 3 times and the homepage won't load.
So, sorry again Scientology. But new commercial is fail.

Of course, the sound doesn't work on everyone.

Oh I get it! we can overcome our fears by becoming Rondroids. Since then we cannot think anymore, there is nothing to be afraid of (except Xenu)

hahahahahaha. HAIL XENU!

"How can we overcome our own fears?"
By turning into emotionless zombie robots perhaps? By learning to care about nothing but scientology maybe?
Just thinking out loud.
