  • ..... sounds like the opening

THIS IS NBC 4 NEW YORK... AND NOW.. NEWS 4 NEW YORK!

I heard that same opening music when I was in NY

  • Yup its the same music albeit not the same cut

  • The Reason KNTV calls itself NBC Bay Area Because Comcast has KNTV on Channel3 While DTV , Directv, and dish Has it on 11.

  • Thats just one of the many reasons

  • dose any body have the knbc HD news open

  • it is on redlasso

  • Unfortunatley Redlasso is now closed

  • Just like KNBC!

  • see... when they got rid of Tower V1... i got totally pissed... but when they got rid of the old graphics.. im like.. ehh this one looks cool too. But rebranding... sorta bugs me

  • only thing I dont like though...

    whats with the pulsing graphics...

  • Those arent In house, they are by NBC Artworks its the new O&O package, KNBC uses these as well. And yes they are now NBC bay area

  • Thats sweet. Can't wait to see these rolled out to the other O&Os. I'm hoping blue at WMAQ.

  • Yup And its also yellow at MAQ

  • Maybe I'm crazy but the open I saw had blue.

  • Palm Trees in the Bay Area.....hmm. Unless they are referring to the tress that hang on the Embarcadero.

  • They do have a redwood tree image on the large peacock wing in the open at 33 seconds

  • I agree -- too socal and clearly ripped from the KNBC open. Not authentic enough, which is the general issue with station. Maybe the golden gate or bay bridges would have been better icons. Otherwise great grapics for LA.

  • San Francisco Needs the TransAmerica pyramid too for the open.

  • Nah the hell with SF, San Jose and Sunnyvale RULE!!!!!

  • Besides, San Jose has more people that SF, according to US census figures.

  • Yup!, the size is as follows. 1San Jose 2SF 3 Sunnyvale 4 Oakland

  • there are palm trees in the bay area... its all over Downtown San Jose too lol

  • And Sunnyvale! the second largest city in the south bay!

  • OMG THE GRAPHICS IS SO AWSOME
