What is great about this life of ours is something called "FREE WILL", each adult has the power to say yes or say no. There is always alternatives. I salute the men who take Thai wives and the Thai women who know themselves well enough to make up their own minds. You are either a victim or a volunteer and far too many western women cry victim when the truth is many women are just simply volunteers, making a simple choice in their life. Mind your own business, lead with love and do not judge.
I understand why the women do it, they don't have any money etc etc.
BUT THE MEN?! Thinking they do a good deed ?! WTF!? then they wouldn't need sex in return, but just help the poor women! Love?! how can they be so blind!
If i was a man i would be utterly ashamed not being able to get a girl with a mind of her own, with some standards for what she want's in a man.
This kinda sad. I think education is the cured. Looking at their govt. then I understand why they done this the 1st place. I think it's better do this rather than end up in Phat Pong area. I hate that place, like seeing sodom & gomorrah for real. Sad sad sad ,,, espc. in this century!
I think Thais could be richer but they dont save their money. They spend all their money the moment they get it and also rack up huge debt. Thai culture is to show off your wealth through material objects. They always want the newest mobile phone, even though the one they have is fine, etc. i have witnessed this from poor thais and rich thais alike.
@FarangBalls Because everybody there is placed in and divided by social classes mostly off appearance, Thais portray themselves as people with money, rich..or what they call "High so."(high society). So if this means they have to spend all their money for the month on brand name clothes or jewelry, then it's what they'll do.
@MLamai Sorry if my comment offended you, thats not what I was trying to do. I was just stating what I have seen from my poor and rich thai friends alike. They constantly buy new clothes, mobile phones, and other things they dont need. They don't save much or invest.
@FarangBalls Firstly, I can't believe your analysis of poverty in Thailand revolves around the moronic idea that the Thais are somehow to blame because "they always want the newest mobilie phone". @Basehad I didn't say that this was the cause of their entire country being poor. I only meant that the average thai person makes poor financial choices. They could save or invest, but no one from Isan does so. The country has many problems, such as corruption at every level of the government.
@FarangBalls Okay, sorry for being rude. I just don't think that it's a specific Thai trait. Everywhere in the world, you have poor, uneducated people who make poor financial decisions. Even here in Denmark, the problem is so widespread that we have TV shows about families and young couples that are helplessly indebted because they make terrible financial decisions over and over again. They should teach household economics in school.

Some people think we are being poorly educated about finance on purpose so the bankers can steal more money. I believe Thailand took a huge loan from the IMF when their economy crashed in 1998, a loan that has to be paid back with interest..

I divorced my exploitative Thai wife called Phikunthong also known as Som or Sompreaw.
She married me to get a British Passport and tried to rob me through divorce.
Lucky I found out as she told so many lies about everything.
She had to pay so much in legal fees because of her greed that she ended up with little from the divorce.
She can only live in the UK by being a student.
She is an 'over stayer' living in South Wales UK. These women are the root cause for complex immigration laws.
