Iam having a problem with myn. Iam using a airport extream and what i try i can't seem to open it. Is there anything you can do to help. Also a tip incase you didn't know apple (being as gay as they are) can't acces your routers settings on the web, you have to do it by disk. So if you can find out the settings to change it to open please let me know.

@LegitCodBallers1 If you are keen to mess around with your router settings, the key things are enabling port forwarding and UPnP for your PS3 (or Xbox) but some Routers are less easy to work with than others, and I don't know enough to advise you. Please see if you can enable those things.

@SirMemow Yup, I'm kinda the same, strict on PS3 and always Open on Xbox. It's to do with how you router communicates with the PS3 rather than anything to do with the game.

@corski99 doesnt work for everyone - maybe only 80% of people who have problems. Sorry if it seems that you're in the 20%. One other thing you can try is to reset your router before doing this, but not certain to work

I was having trouble with MW3 displaying Strict NAT type. Im not really a noob when it comes to this stuff but I was getting pretty annoyed with it! In the end I had to use the default Xbox Live setting (I have a PS3) on my router. So I let that through and the default PS3 setting and now I have Open NAT type. What the hell? Having to forward the Xbox ports to get a PS3 game working?

No no no no! This is not a permanent fix and therefore total waste of time. Noob behaviour!

Set you PC as a static IP, then you need to port forward a range. Range: 27000 to 27050 for both TCP and UDP use your PC's IP address. And 3074 for TCP and UDP as well.

usually if it says strict or moderate on MW2 there is something about your router or connection that actually IS wrong. Mine has some days like that, sometimes unplugging your router works, sometimes messing around with your PS3 network settings works, sometimes nothing works and then randomly a few days later it will work again. The problems have more to do with how PS3's talk with routers than the games themselves. Wow, long reply..
