  • @deleter2007 was there any change in the temp readings after these side fans were installed?

  • @simplyrohit21 It`s not very noticeable on my system, cause i have huge case with just one silent intake fan, and cpu cooler is not like tower type. But despite those facts Ram module is cooling well =) Must admit that thsi two fans are also very slient and don`t cause much airflow.

  • @deleter2007 hmmm. my friend i have been googling a lot lately on the heating, air circulation in cabinet. have come across a few important points. the problem with me actually is that northbridge is heating too much and after reading and trying a lot of thing in past 2-3 weeks i have come to the conclusion that the stock cooler is causing this as it blow the heat downwards and it seeps over to the NB. I think i'll need to change it with a better and relatively silent after market cooler.

  • @deleter2007 I also mounted 2 120 mm fans- one as exhaust at top rear and one intake at side panel. these 120 mm fans are super silent and improve the airflow a lot [all temps are down by ~5C]. however i am having problem with northbridge temperatures the root cause of which i have found to be the stock cooler of cpu which blows all the air downwards towards the mobo chipset thus causing the heat to spill over to north bridge.for this i will put a cooler master aftermarket cooler i guess.

  • how did you mount the fans to the case?

    Glue, tape,...?

    Perfect

  • @hraqhraq

4 screws and mount brackets, in the left side of fans you can see it

  • ты монстр

  • very good job men (respect)

  • Nice mod. 5/5

  • Thank`s =)

  • @deleter2007 Quick i must ask, i have the same PSU as you, when the computer is turned of(but still connected to power) does the blue led still light?

I remember that it did. But i must be sure.

(it looks like my PSU has taken the night, but its weird since hte mobo light is still green)

  • @slitor When coputer is turned off, there is no blue led light in my PSU.

  • @deleter2007 thanks...that cleared something up
