By the way, Balamousso, if you know of any audiovisual French materials suitable for middle schoolers learning French, I'd be most appreciative if you could share them. We stopped doing French because I had trouble finding enough simple material that would interest him. Oddly enough, he enjoyed videos meant for preschoolers, but not repeated ad nauseum.
Wow! I was just getting up from the computer and saw a reply to something from months ago! Yes, balamousso. YOUNG children do enjoy hearing the same story repeated many times (as I have experienced with my own children when they were preschoolers). But my youngest son is OLDER, is READING, in middle school, and is used to the nonstop action of video games. What turns school-age children OFF to school and learning is too much repetition of the exact same stuff.
Very easy French for kids. Good for a child who has already learned some basic words to gain confidence in reading. Don't repeat story more than once, or it will get boring for the child!
