There is something wrong with the system. Many things need to be changed. Time already spent in jail should not go towards a currant charge, Double Jeopardy should be allowed in certain cases with new solid evidence that is found, defendant should have to take the stand at the beginning of trial to tell their story, then again at the end to answer questions.

So no one can change my mind about this situation. Her actions were unacceptable as a mother. You don't party, and go clubbing, and vigorously shake your ass all over ppl, when your kid is missing, hurt, or dead. In caylee's case. The jury were stupid, and so was the judge. Case closed.

I never really paid attention until afterward and was shocked by the number of people who wanted to take it out on the JURY! I know how the process works, it's obvious you do too. It was just hard to see how many people wouldn't/couldn't look at the prosecution's role or lack thereof in this. Do I think she did it? Most likely. The process failed.

This is selective outrage because the media hyped it up. The large majority of these people in the street do not do this on a regular basis, nor do they even care about other cases, even if they were similar. And of course, we all know they are allowed to do this though. Nobody is saying they aren't.

The whole point is what happened goes against the constitution because the jury failed to do their job properly. If everyone was let free during the Nuremberg trials you couldn't just say, "Well they are right because they are the legal court and we must respect them..." The judiciary in any country is man-made and therefore imperfect - it is up to citizens to challenge it when it fails not run.

Inside the trunk there was bags of rubbish, one which contained a pizza box, the fumes that are in chloroform are also caused by cheese i.e coming from the pizza so the chloroform could not be counted as suitable evidence, Bugs in the trunk could also be from the rotting food, the thing I wonder though was did she not have a bin collection why would she have bags of

Wow, seeing the comments on here makes me really sick as to how ignorant people have gotten. The Jurors were normal men and women like you and me. They too had high emotions about the case and knew what kind of impact of their verdict would have on society. but you weren't in the courtroom weighing out the strength of forensic evidence against her. I really dont understand this verdict, even if her death was an accident, which I doubt, Casey still lived it up after dumping her child like garbage. I believe she drugged the child on a regular basis so that she could party, and Caylee died because she was given too much. Casey Anthony should be punished, not given plastic surgery and a new identity. Whats wrong with the justice system. Talk about Casey's human rights, what about the rights of that poor child. He overdid the chloroform which killed Caylee so he threw the body in the pool to hide the evidence and stage a drowning. He informed Casey about the drowning who was overwhelmed by her father who probably had molested her too and she knew about him throwing Caylee's body in the swamp but she was no more involved than that.

Also not proven is the cause of death, because there is no evidence to suspect it was tape. I could go on and on, why 'exactly' we can not condemn people on circumstantial evidence alone. We have the right to presumption of innocents, innocent until proven guilty, but not in this case????

@fmnma1 you don't need to know how someone died, circunstantial evidence is admissible evidence, and it is how most cases are dealt with. When do criminals bring witnesses or video tape their acts? The kid died, and it was not an accident. All the evidence points to one person, casey anthony. GUILTY AS HELL!

Circumstantial evidence has convicted people and put them to death, later to find out, oops they didn't do it. Fantastic.. Wonderful for them huh? Only one problem, to late. The 'video act' garbage was a quote from Nancy Grace. All the evidence, doesn't point to anyone, that's the problem, and that's why an acquitted verdict was handed down. Did you even follow this case?

He or she was making a point as to people making excuses even though the outcome is the correct one, they always have questions as to why. This case -for your information- was if Casey Anthony committed a crime. Not if a child had their life cut short. Anyone who is angry, or upset with the verdict, most likely assumed guilt before the trial even started! Who is to blame for that (?) who do you think. It is, and will remain innocent until 'PROVEN' guilty, in a court of law!!!

One-case ..;A man rapes a woman, stabs here 24 some odd times, before he is done he writes a smiley face on her back. She survives... gives a description- A guy seen outside her house on his knees praying- they arrest him - he matches the sketch - during questioning he asks for a job app. On the job app he writes a smiley face (wasn't released to the press) The woman and her son identify him. He was in her trailer park the same night. Circumstances he is guilty?

The evidence clearly is NOT there to prove she's guilty. You can make assumptions. But, you know what happens when you assume... ;) It makes an ass out of you, the prosecution, Nancy Grace and every other idiot that assumed she was going to receive a guilty verdict. I predicted from day one that she would be found innocent due to the lack of evidence. You don't ask for a capital punishment trial when you can't prove the defendant did anything other than lie. There is something wrong with the system. Many things need to be changed. Time already spent in jail should not go towards a currant charge, Double Jeopardy should be allowed in certain cases with new solid evidence that is found, defendant should have to take the stand at the beginning of trial to tell their story, then again at the end to answer questions.

I think this woman should have "special" protection for the rest of her life. Becasue of the media exposure of this trial, she no will be unable to live a normal life without worrying about her safety. We allow police officers and other city workers their own double standard of justice, making their lives more important than those of the people they serve. Why should this woman be any different. Assaultng here should be treated the same way it is with elected officals. THAT would be JUSTICE....
