She goes to Japan, and sings in Japanese, because her record label tells her she has to promote herself there as well as in Canada and the US.

It's a contractual obligation.

She does NOT speak Japanese, someone else translates the lyrics (pretty poorly at times) and then she sings them.

Her pronunciation is awful, and she sounds awful here... A Japanese person in Japan would barely be able to understand this.
