I tend to think that everything that CAN be said in rock has already been said. But these guys seem to making something truly new out of the fragments of rock.

This is where I am from also, we had a huge snow-icing rain storm in 1998 and the power went out for a few days. Wires, poles, trees were broken.... this is kind of where the idea came from for this song : )

I read the reason online. When some kid beat up Win Butler as a kid, he told him this story about an arcade catching fire, and all these kids dying.

The band's booking agent has also stated that live shows will be expected in the summer and will most likely begin with seasonal North-American festivals. The album is being produced by Markus Dravs who produced their last album, 2007's "Neon Bible", and engineered by Marcus Paquin who has also previously worked with the band.

Arcade Fire's 'Funeral' was released a few months after Modest Mouse's 'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' (which was their 4th album already) in 2004.

That song does have something to do with Modest Mouse... But this doesn't stop it from being an excellent one.
