  • Wow!

  • Awesome. What a player!!!!!! Willie Weeks on bass too!!

  • Essa Banda Fumou Toda MACONHA DO universo.. kkkkkkk Muito bom esse som.. :)

  • Who were the other musicians in this band, anyone know...! Rip Hiram! I only met you a few times!

  • RIP Hiram....you had mad chops !

  • this poves white people have minimal rythem,,, period, and im white..it was black americans that truley introduced the true form of music in the U.S.A.

  • Yeah, Hiram is no longer with us....David lived in Woodstock NY. This band was a regular at a small club..The Joyous Lake. It was some of the best music, man! Fortunate for me, I was there "a lot" and so were they-early 70's to late.

  • this really blows me away . .

i never use drugs but i want some now!

  • i really love ur music. but the guitarist is two things: hes too mouch or hes too cool - hes both -seen from here (and im only an amateur).

all in all, my thump is up

    best/jesper

  • holy shit, sanborn without his hurricane hair!

and what a fantastic performance by the whole band! hiram and dave are both in top form, and it's always a real treat to hear them play together.

  • This is Hiram playing the Guitar God after short ad.

  • i respect Hiram as a brilliant musician but i feel in the end he was suffering from what i call the 'Jaco' symptom. He seemed to be on drugs & fairly drunk at least to the show i went when he did his 2 Funky 2 Ignore tour. Not too mention that he was all over the place if you know what i mean, he put his life at risk on that gig, seriously.

He made me realize how hard the life for the jazz touring musician really is.

  • Damn, Hiram Bullock was really thin!

  • who is on the bass?

  • @adriank9 It's Tom Barney. Just a few references: Miles Davis, Steely Dan, Michael Jackson.

  • this guy is cool to watch..and listens too, very soulful and funky player, heavy as rock too in tone

  • this is great shit. You guys have to check this out

  • boy aint right!

  • nice dynamics @ 4:46.....................

  • RIP Hiram, a true guitar player all the way. David Sanborn definitely made evolution for the sax.

  • So shocked to learn that Hiram passed. I had no idea. This is exactly as I remember him. He was a phenom on stage. I loved his playing and bought his album. So funky. I was equally shocked to see a more recent photo of him in the mid 2000's. Health is wealth. He is in a better place now, but I am saddened by this news. I was still hoping to see him play again. Peace to you, Hiram.

  • Bullock might need a silencer on that thang, cause if he aint carefull he might make some faces melt lol

  • i love totally hiram bullock very funky moves great face expression

  • you can tell he watched Hendrix at Monterey Pop several times

  • We ALL watched Jimi at Monterey ;-D

  • i like how he goes cross eyed for a sec around 3:40

  • A great great live moment... wow, thank you Peter.

  • Repeat..repeat...repeat...repeat, one more!

  • Forgot to say ofcourse , thanks peter for uploading this stuff , a big thank you :)!

  • Man , i dont even know what would happen to me if i saw that live. Hiram and David is both true musical legends. And sure hiram knows how to be one with the audience in a solo :D

  • I saw him in early 1986 with Jaco and Kenwood Dennard. When they played Purple Haze you would have thought Jimi was back. I've never heard anyone play so close to Jimi live. It sent chills and now that he and Jaco are gone, I'll never forget that show at Blues Alley in Wash., DC.

  • You my friend, are a very lucky man!

  • @geosh78 that was THE trio right there! ... very jealous as a guitarist right now ... i've got all of their bootlegs and have absorbed so much vibe from those tapes. I hope Jaco and Hiram are jammin right now :)

  • Always love to see him play with Dave.

    RIP Hiram
