Hey Andy, you said that this guitar has a Madagascar Rosewood fretboard. How did Fender get around the recently amended Lacey Act banning the use of Madagascar Rosewood and Mahagony? I'm sure you remember that whole scandal with Gibson when they were raided last November my the Nashville PD and the Fish and Wildlife Service. Just curious.

@bkpro1984 - It's our understanding that not all Madagascar rosewood is illegal. It depends on where the particular pieces of wood in question were sourced from. Apparently there are legal and licensed exporters dealing in "fallen logs" that sell to guitar manufacturers. From what we've read it seems that Gibson had some issues with proper documentation. We are by no means experts on this subject, but I hope that helps clear things up a bit. Thanks for watching.
