@wmw0702 : Actually, there's a HUMUNGOUS difference. Like night & day. I know cuz I bought a 2005 Fender Telecaster Deluxe, just like in this video except with a maple fretboard. It's absolutely great. I tried a Mexican Telecaster to see the difference and was blown away at how much nicer/better my guitar is. Try it at a music store, you'll find out quick. Play the Mexican one first. Seriously folks.

@treblejunkie Mexican are good for people with a little less money :) I am 15 and i have had my Mex Strat for 2 years but i love it! I managed to get mine for £350 which is no more expensive than a lot of Ibanez's! I know which one i would prefer...

The sound you are talking about is an effect called Delay.

@SstalkerS That's the no load tone control, not the amp. It takes the capacitor out of the circuitry basically so you hear the full range of the guitar. Which is pretty cool.

I've owned this guitar, but with a maple fretboard and it is one of the most enjoyable guitars I've ever owned.  Superb tone, the S1 switching is a must and I utilize its almost all of the time. The smooth playability of the neck is a credit to the workmanship of the Fender craftsman. If your thinking about buying this guitar, go to your local shop and play one, and you'll more than likely be taking it home like I did.

The only "doubt" for me are the N3 pickups. Does anybody know if they produce nice twangy tele sounds as fender claims? The bridge pup for example sounds kinda straty on the video (though its hard to judge through the video). Anyone played them?

Playing with or without is kinda like learning a language. People that learn with a pick starting out have trouble playing finger pick, and visa versa. It's easiest to learn starting off so far from the knowledge that I've gathered.
