I'm sure you use the mute function I do but it's really annoying to have to bring up the dashboard every time I hear some kid with an annoying voice because it takes a long time and I usually get killed while not concentrating on the game.

There is a simple way to look at this and I'm gonna tell you what it is. Games like COD4 and other first person shooters and whatever other games that are competitive give you little reason to discuss anything with your opponents. They are your enemies why the hell would you want to hear anything they have to say anyhow!? In the few instances that you are actually on a team then those are the people you want to communicate with not the guy that is about to blow your head off.

I will agree that Live has a fair share of complete assclowns, many of which are kids; however I have found in my own experience that "adults" are the single most annoying entity on Live.
I'd like to add that not all children act like complete tards online. Personal history working with children has thrown up as many polite young urchins as shit-heads I want to punch.
3. If a kid starts screaming on the PC versions of games (rare), spam music at them back or start a voteban or something. Most games with mics have votebans.

I'm sure you use the mute function I do but it's really annoying to have to bring up the dashboard every time I hear some kid with an annoying voice because it takes a long time and I usually get killed while not concentrating on the game.

ya, that's exactly why i said I don't feel like having to mute every lil piece of shit.
in cod4 it's easy, but that's like the only game where it is. but when I mute people, I usually go and leave them feedback and report them for invoice, so that takes even longer

maybe video games were made for children BACK in the day. but those children GREW UP ie: people like me who ofcourse, still enjoy video games. You saying you're gonna stop playing games once you reach a certain age? I guarantee you won't.
Games have ratings for a reason. Children's games are made for children. adult games are made for adults. just like rated R movies.

Kids are not meant to play the games that I am complaining about them playing. I'm not talking about freakin Dora the Explorer or dance dance revolution here. I'm talking about Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Halo... all games that are rated M FOR MATURE. Which means for 17+.
Their parents aren't supposed to be buying them these games. SO I have a right to complain about them RUINING my xbox live experience. They're ruinin it for everyone else by being fucking obnoxious.

For one thing, you could mute most of them. For another, not a lot of 12-13 year olds scream into their headsets. It's not their fault you've had bad luck with most of them. For all you know, they might even be sixteen year olds screaming. Maybe you shouldn't be playing X-Box for eight hours.

There is a simple way to look at this and I'm gonna tell you what it is. Games like COD4 and other first person shooters and whatever other games that are competitive give you little reason to discuss anything with your opponents. They are your enemies why the hell would you want to hear anything they have to say anyhow!? In the few instances that you are actually on a team then those are the people you want to communicate with not the guy that is about to blow your head off.

I will agree that Live has a fair share of complete assclowns, many of which are kids; however I have found in my own experience that "adults" are the single most annoying entity on Live.
I'd like to add that not all children act like complete tards online. Personal history working with children has thrown up as many polite young urchins as shit-heads I want to punch.

3. If a kid starts screaming on the PC versions of games (rare), spam music at them back or start a voteban or something. Most games with mics have votebans.
