i like the smoothcam, but it only works WELL on shots that are pretty steady as it is. I stopped using it because of the way it zooms in the picture. the shots it works on are already good, and the ones that need to be fixed, it just zooms it in way too far.
Could you please tell me if Final Cut Express is having this plugin, too?

I have had excellent results (better than what is shown here) with smooth cam, it does take some time to tweak though.
