It uses Splash whale, the cockpit with "combat" in its name and I don't know the booster part. If you don't have the parts, you can get them after beating some of the cups with the given vehicles.

you need to build Sky Lynx -RX or Master Work.

To proceed in story mode you only need to beat the chapters on Normal difficulty.

You can unlock the following things by beating...

all lvls on Normal: Dark Schneider

Hard: custom parts (very useful!)

all lvls on Hard: Magic Seagull

Very Hard: AX machines

btw @ bign3ck: you cannot use custom vehicles in story mode lol

But 'Master Work' (a custom machine) really kicks ass - it takes:

Sky Horse + Moon Snail + Titan-G4

Real F-zero experts don't use snaking. I prefer to push the speed to max and to learn each car ove3r a period of time. It soon become snatural and easy.

if you got all parts, feel very bored and got some spare time left you could spend it on tinkering around with the custom parts in order to find those "special" combinations^^

well, most of this movie was just an over view of Glitchs in this game, and since i thing, useing a Glitch to win, is the same as cheating, i don't thing it was interesting at all (the so called snakeing is a Glitch)

"snakeing" can only be done by useing a glitch. the glitch is when you do a slide/drift (by holding down R and L at the same time and the turn) you'll speed up a bit, and when you are done slideing/drifting you'll slow down to normal speed, the time taken to slow down was normaly programed to be like 0 seconds, but for some reason it ended up becomeing 3-5 seconds, that time is enough to perform a new slide/drift still keeping the speed from the last slide/drift, in other words snakeing=glitch
