For reference....the Silver Viper has 500whp and runs 11.5 @ 125 at the 1/4. Only mods are headers and tune, check out my videos of it at the 1/4 and at the Texas Mile.
Twin Turbo Z32 - exhaust, instake, driveshaft - 381whp.. nothing crazy right now, but for very simple bolt ons with stock turbos, it quick on the street.
@supra1722 yea 381 to the wheels on 93 pump, 15psi.. could prop get to 400 on race gas.. but with bigger side mount intercoolers, and 2.5" piping.. running about 17psi on the stock turbos can make 500 wheel. pretty good for little snail turbos!
@TwinCRPZ32 yeah, i doubt though the stock would tolerate more than 19psi without durability issues.. but 500 on the stock turbos is very impressive.. so you going more a more mild, conservative tune? do you consider taking a different route than APU? thanks for your time
@supra1722 well i dont own the car any more. a guy ran a red light and completely totaled it..! the current tune that was on it, was pretty aggressive, but very stable. all i needed was bigger intercoolers, and intercooler piping, and i would be at 500 wheel. but 17psi has been proven to be reliable with all the breather mods.
@TwinCRPZ32 aw shoot, that's bad.. were you injured? you thinking of replacing it with another Z or are you looking into something different? btw a friend of mine is looking for a car, and considers a Z32, i heard and have seen many reliability issues, what do you think as a Z owner? thanks
@supra1722 i went out and bought an E46 M3, as my DD.. and im building a 1971 2JZ 240z was my project car..
I think it all depends on how the previous owner took care of it.. for a good condition, low miles twin turbo right now, im think around 9-10k is good price. i always did my maintenance myself, and on time. i bought it with 80k stock. did all the upgrades and i ran that car hard every time i drove it for about 35k miles and was still running like a champ at 125k. then the wreck happened
@TwinCRPZ32 wow, good luck with the project, nice combo with the timeless classic and the mighty 2JZ... i love the way the E46 M3 handles.. you have got some nice cars my friend.. yeah, i was just guessing that those cars that i based my opinion on were abused.. thanks for the advice, really appreciate it :)
