The show got me into trouble in preschool. I kept pretending the roll of paper towels was their computer. After a dozen or so times the teacher got tired of having to reroll the thing.
@tdhooge I know what you mean, I forgot about this show too until I was surfing, I loved this show. It was the female version of batman and Robin without the comic book fight blurbs. I think we had better show in the 70's on Saturday mornings then kids do today.
I didn't know was Deidre Hall on this show when I used to watch this on ABC Sat. mornings over CH6 WPVI here in Philly. It wasn't til later when I read about the shows she starred on that I found this out. Boy did she look young on this show.
Completely forgotten about this one. For those who are under 35, this is one of the cheesy low budget shows we watched during Sat. mornings but love them at the time. Check out the high-tech special effects.
Watched this show when I was like 4 or 5. Problem is, the last show I saw EW & DG were being "separated" (ahem...cut in half) and the show ended with them screaming "OWW!!!" Then the show wasn't on anymore. For the longest time I thought they had actually been killed. Good ol' mental trauma for a kid.
This hurts my brain! Was I REALLY 8 years old when this came out?? This show was INSANE. Wow...but, you know...I wouldn't trade it for the world...I'm glad I'm 43 and remember when this was current and LOVED it. Things were better when we were kids. Wow, again.
i will say again, a few years later, sextra woman and vagina girl. also, apparently they invented morrigan. land of the lost and speed buggy was better.
So it's distaff Batman and Robin except with bright psychedelic colors absolutely everywhere. Amazing. The video quality nimbly straddles the line between actual 70s show and parody of 70s show.
Scary I know! When my kids are watching what I used to, then I knew time has flown. This was a fun and simple time in my life and there are times I wish I could go back!
@bigphat200 bigphat200 if it's any consolation then i'm old as sin too because i grew up watching this show as well as the rest of the kroft supershow.
Bad then it was pretty hip, but now it's just hilarious. I can't believe we watched such crap like this so long ago. The only shows I really watched were Dr. Shrinker (that actually had a better song then this), Wonder Bug (still better), Land of the Lost & Shazam and Isis hour. PufnStuf was also pretty funny back then. Magic Mango? Bigfoot & Wildboy? All crap. Only good thing about Electra Woman & Dyna Girl was that they were pretty HOT looking back then. Diedra was a gorgeous blond.
@4thekidsTV haha,oh well, you gotta star somewhere. And you can do worse than entertaining kids on Saturday morning. And a whole generation grew up knowing her from the start. Just like Morgan Freeman! I've liked almost everything he's done since I first saw him on The Electric Company!
triple xxx woman and vagina girl! lol! man its been so many years i wish i knew about this then. now i wanna go watch sigmund and gilligan as space nuts.
I wonder if Deidre Hall ever wish she could forget she ever did this show...LOL.And is it me or does the theme song sound a lot like Dancing Machine by the Jacksons.
@tball464 lol I went through all these comments,to see if I wasn't the only one that swore I was hearing Dancing Machine! Then I spotted your comment. Good ears!!!
I, for one, am not impressed with the glass shattering ray; I can get Ella Fitzgerald to do that with an outtake from a "Is it live or is it Memorex" commercial. And some of those villains are so gay that even gay people think "Man, they're really gay".
LOVED this show! Would look so forward to seeing it on Saturday. Was singing the theme song during the week. Yup, I'm gay. That's so gay, right?... isn't that what all the Facebook Autotune Generation love to say when something is lame. *eye roll*
@gab4nuke Didn't they get Donna Summer to sing the theme song? Or was it Kiki Dee? Wow - this was a cool show. Two no-talent lezbos flying around in a flying Pinto! Those special effects put Star Wars to shame! Electra-Lezbo and Dyna-Dyke fighting crime and men to make the world safe for lesbolicious, butch bitches in mid-'70s leisure suits. In seaon two they traded in their Pinto for a bitchin flying Gremlin! Dyna-Dyke shaved her head and got a tattoo. Electra-Lezbo got a tank top!
omg!!!! i typed this is just to see if i was the only person on earth who rememberd this show lol!!!!this was one of my favorite shows!!! next to land of the lost and the volkswagan that could fly.. i wish i knew the name of that show..hmmmm anyone remember?? and no its not that herby crap lol
