also how did u attack with so much points? i can only attack about max. with 900 with squall and everyone else just sucks =/ is there a way i can get better weapons b/c i cant leave this place

I have 100 Meteor's Junctioned to Str, which gives you a significant boost in physical damage. Junction your best magic to it if you don't have Meteor's yet. And unfortunately you can only get better weapons after you fight Adel. You can visit a Weapon Shop in the menu if you have learned it with Tonberry, but you'd have to have the items already, which you might not have yet. Best of luck in the battle!

I use to have major issuses killing this bitch.

But i just had 100 sleeps, and curage on my weapons for everyone.

idk, i use to love the battle music, so i battled a lot and was always on level 100.

I would get the weakest person all the curage so he/she could heal Rinoa, and the strongest would kick this bitches ass.

I used magic a lot too, but i never used a summon, cause it would hurt Adel & Rinoa

casting shell on rinoa makes adels drainage not as powerful, also casting shell on your characters helps a shit load, well it did for me anyway.

I'm stuck on this battle, and I've pretty much given up hope of ever defeating her. My highest character, Squall, is only at level 26 and I don't have anything fancy like the Lion Heart weapon, and I used up my Auras and I don't have Meltdown so I'm pretty much screwed. She ends up killing everyone with Ultima. Does anyone know how I can beat her?

I would say that, if you can, get some good magics and get 100 of them, and Junction them. The beauty of this game is that level doesn't matter as much as what magics are junctioned. I'd say go with high HP and Str. Best of luck!

@blakstang98 Well the problem was that I couldn't leave until I beat her. But how I ended up beating her was by using Quistis' Blue Magic Homing Lasers after casting my only Hero on her, making her invinsible, and with a bit of luck I managed to pull it off right before she used Ultima on my party. Thank you for the advice though.

@RikuAxelCloud I had something very similiar on my very first playthrough, scraped through Seifer and then Adel was just impossible. In short theres not a lot you can do, maybe try level up with monsters in the area or try learn GF abilities that give more HP and magic defence. GF's can't be used, as you've likely discovered, thats the only advise I can give, unless you cheat with action replay or gameshark.

Most of you seem to have issues with this battle. Instead of repeating myself, I'd say read over my comments to others. Junctions are probably your way of beating her. Best of luck!

Is Regen enough to keep her alive throughout the whole battle? I notice that Regen doesn't work.. all that quickly I guess I should say? I'm a tad worried about this fight :o

The Regen won't help much, but you may get 1 or 2 more chances for Rinoa to survive, which may be long enough to finish Adel off. You can always cast curative magic on her as well. A good Curaga will help a lot. But if you have your junctions setup well, Adel shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Junctions, put some good magic to those stats and you'll see a major difference. Put good magics to Str and HP, that alone will probably get you over the top for this battle.

@blakstang98 i switched ivrine for quitist and used the homing missle on her, and put auto for strength. now im in ultimceas castle or ever how u spell it. defeated 3 boss's so far. the one where u open something up to go down there, i went back and it said it was too rusty to open so idk what the deal is there, havent beaten that boss yet

@metal220 Tornado's from the southern continent (Right side, desert region), you can draw from Abyss Worms they junction incredibly well, Cactuars there can also help with AP =3

Don't give up! Concentrate on junctioning your Str and possibly HP and Spr, then just attack away. Be sure to draw Regen from Rinoa and cast it on her to keep her health up.

My guess would be that you have some weak junctions. Maybe a supply of superior magics to junction, even to just 1 character would help. Basically make one character unbreakable, then they should be able to survive everything Adel dishes out. For a last resort, I'd say go with that. Best of luck!

@earlearlerica dont give up. it is very hard. I was stuck on this boss since I was about 9. I finally only killed her without a cheat either last year or 2 years ago when I was about 20. lol It didnt help that everytime I got up to Adel and tried to kill her, my dad ended up always formatting my pc for one reason or another. lmao. Took me like 11 years to kill the bitch but I got there in the end. I feel sure the whole street must have heard me scream in excitment when I killed her. lol

i'm at this part right now, but my chars don't do nearly that much dmg for attack, and they don't have near as much health, what level are your chars atm?

Squall is at 86, Irvine at 45 and Selphie is at 35. I'd say you'd need to fix your junctions. Naturally you have HP that can use an increase and Str is what you want to increase to get more damage on attacks.

I had to level up some to get some items for the ultimate weapons, so my party was leveled up a bit. I didn't realize I had Squall at such a high level either, it's usually not that high at this point.

Thanks Alot that makes perfect sense. Thats why its name was Dark Angel on the screen. I know I remember seeing that and im like wow but didn't realize i had changed the name myself. Unless what you are saying is that i didn't know that was the name that the gf was going to have but instead was changed by the game by using the name for something else which you talked about with ryona. thaks for the INFO!!!!!

Your welcome! Griever is the default name given to it. So if you never changed it, that's what it will be.  But if you're looking for it online, it will be Griever.

AHHHHHH Help i thought that the final boss in FF8 had a guardian force named dark angel and all these years I remember it being called dark angel but i can't find the name of the guardian force online that she uses!!! help someone??

Yes, nitesun is right, its Griever. You actaully get the chance to change the name, when Rinoa takes Squalls ring. You can choose the name near the end of disc 2 before going into Galbadia Garden.

Thanks again yea im playing final fantasy 12 right now and I love it so much im almost done with the monster hunts the second part where I hunt 80. Im thinking another full week of playing and I'll be fighting the end bosses what an awesome game. Still in my heart FF8 is still my favorite Final Fantasy game with FF7 a close second.

Final Fantasy Tactics would be close to my favorite but im not sure it would be a similar comparison since its a different format but if it was it would be tied for first I Love tactics!! lol there are other games different companies that use that format like Omniyasha if i spelled it correctly ect and uh Battle Ogre tactics lol

I wish they made part 2 where you get to hunt down your evil former friend from part 2 and battle him in the end.

Perhaps a Super Tacticts game in 2d but with the power of a PS3 engine would be mind blowing they could do all kinds of animations and tricks with it not to mention spells and everything else : )

My characters attacks are all weak, how do I go about getting them stronger? Scrall is in his 90s and the others are in their 50s in terms of power levels.

Junctioning better magic to Str would be the best idea. I'd say use Triple, Meteor, Ultima or Flare to get a good strength boost. Changing your abilities to things like Str+40% will help a lot as well. Best of luck!

I'm so glad you got the time compression on vid! It's one of the best FMVs in the game. Also, the song playing at the very end of the video, is imo the best song in the entire game. I don't have the soundtrack with me now though (it's back at home)... And I don't have the real OST like you do, only the MP3s :p.

Once I get my magics for my junctions, I am pretty much unstoppable :D  I felt like the time compression is important and that it was necessary to show how it happened and what it caused. I like the time compression music too, I thought I was the only one actually :P But yeah, it is a cool tune, it's catchy! And yeah, having the OST for this game, and all the others is too awesome, expensive, but well worth it in my opinion.

I have the OST's for FF's VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2 and XII. Also I have all the Piano Collections for those, except XII which doesn't have Piano Collections. And also IX Plus and VIII Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec. I bought them from Amazon, but you can also buy them from gamemusic.  An OST is something like $30-40, I think the Piano Collections are a little less.
