  • Duck under the intake...Duck under the intake.

I spent 4 years working almost exclusively with A4s and F8s.

F8s are, by far, the most interesting aircraft I have ever had first hand experience with.

Your mini-me F8 is too cool for words.

    OH..wear ear protection.

  • these things are SO LOUD in person, videos do not do them justice as to how realistic they actually sound.

  • @Flyingwigs

IRL the sound is not noise anymore...it's a physical thing.

An F8 sitting on the catapult with the engine run all the way up is a force of nature...like lightning or an earthquake.

  • How much lbs of thrust does that engine provide?

  • @TechnicalFreak about 38lbs at 118.000rpm

  • Don't you wear ear defenders over there?

  • jump on and make o turn around!..

  • nice project

  • Where did u get the Model kit for this airplane ?....The F8 is one of my alltime favorites and id love to build a scale model

  • boooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FLY THE DAMN THING!!!!

  • it going to fly with no wigs right

  • lol kool try to fly it up verticly

  • LAST OF THE GUNFIGHTERS

  • You said it! A real star aircraft

  • I don't be teaching you to suck eggs but you're gonna need some wings on that thing if you wanna see it fly.

  • drive it mtf

  • Good luck on your great project. Plenty of those when I was at Miramar--our RADAR shop was off the end of the "bore sight" gun range for sighting in the F8's

  • @fourfortyroadrunner I was an AQ in VF-21 '80-83 (Phantoms, S and N PQS cert) and when we weren't on the Coral Sea we were in hangar 1, where a Crusader with a bailed out pilot crashed killing I think 8 10 years prior.

Miramar's boneyard had the blue angels skyhawk that hit the runway inverted practicing the high speed close pass in '78, what a mess it was.

  • Wicked cool. Now if only somebody would do the same for an RA-5C Vigilante or an F-20 Tigershark. Then those would be cool. cool as this Crusader in 1:6 scale.

I can't wait to see the vid of the first flight.

    KW.

  • wow, listen to that audio heterodyne -- from the different stages of the turbine running at different RPMs ...sounds like inter-station RF heterodyne on AM or shortwave

  • Too Cool! I didn't know they made RC F-8s. I have to get into the RC jet hobby. Btw, do you have video of the first flight?
