@jor99912 Brook was BIG in the 60's My Dad was stationed in Germany and I'm hear to testify he and his friends played the hell out of Brook Dinah and Roy Hamilton!!!
wow...one of the most mellow voices in music!!!!PERIOD!!! i grew up on this stuff..this is the days of 45`s 33`s and 78`s..hi fidelity, rca was in his masters voice and record plates came in diferent colours .e.g red,black,green,blue..you put the record on the spindle and it would drop on the turntable then the needle would just sit on the record.....woooow
This brings back memories of my childhood days, it is all that my dad listened too. Oh I miss him so much. Mr. Benton you have a golden voice, God truly Bless you!
hi there, i'm sure its the flip side of this (the big beat chief). any chance of putting it on youtube for me please. love this tune. such a melloncolly sorrowfull longing for my teenage years and loves i lost. but the big beat chief. is so up beat. you couldnot help but jive and bob. wonderfull....
My basement flooded a few months ago in louisville Ky. I lucked out, only got about 6 inches.. I had some 45s pretty close to the floor. So I was scared to check them, my record player hasn't worked in Yrs. SO I DON'T KNOW IF I STILL GOT THIS ON RECORD. But I still got YOU TUBE.. MY TIME MACHINE.
26 years is enough time (good or bad)to have this as your only way of life and its a hugh change and it seems hopeless but there is a new life if you keep your door open.give yourself time and feel the hurt now and move on.there is life after divorce.bill
Someone once said we can't tear out a single page of our life but we can throw the whole book in the fire. No need. Turn the page to the good memories. He can never take those away. They're yours. Then move on and make some new memories.
I sincerely hope things have improved for you since you posted this. One thing i do know from experience (in a man's case, anyway). You don't appreciate what you have until it has gone. I hope you have found new love.

Thanks for posting. I enjoy all his songs. Great voice. He actually looks like Willie McCovey (the San Francisco slugger in the 60's).
