Huh. Why on earth do they use ROPES to get up a PINE? I'd only use a rope to get to the first couple branches... then there sould be enough to get you all the way to the top!

Cheers, im a tree surgeon and as a kid i never used any ropes, but i guess as you get older and having safety drilled into ya by the hse you start acting like it all the time, yes i guess your rite just let him learn as i did then worry about safety later on in life!!

Sometimes it's necessary to use a rope to get to the first branch.

My advice is to not spend money on all that stuff and just let him find his own way up. :)
OR else you can just use a regular rope, and hook it up right.
