@heytherebrotherbear they are slightly dewy but if you want a little more of that dewy finish there is one called 'luminous' that gives more of a glow than the light, medium and dark colors, though the luminous has extremely sheer coverage.

i have 4 or 5 small acne spots on my face do you think that this would be able to cover up the redness or would it be too sheer?

Its oil free though that makes it better for combination skin. Most dry skin products have oil agents in it to moisturize. Its better for combo skin because its light weight and oil free so it wont create the sebaceous to over react to it. I have combination skin and it works fine. Its also an oil absorber as well so its actually better for combination skin.
