  • @bassplayer773 .. when i click the link it says ''Pamela Means''

guess we were mis lead =0

  • @bassplayer773

hey dude.. it says under the likes that they are playing a show.. i guess it's a reunion? im gonna look into it now'

  • Jesus Christ please bless the misunderstood that Hardcore music is about positivity, heart, spirt and unity. Not negativity, hate and what's cool to do.. Please guide them that this music is all about being yourself and not following trends. Means, I hope to see you on Feb 4th in New York.

    Bless you all

P.S- us christians do it the best :)

  • @anth0ny718 wait what's happening feb 4th?

  • i <3 means!

  • @vadermask I will fucking kill you for that statement. All these musicians know where METALCORE got its roots from. Means was an amazing super positive Christian group of guys.

  • Connected!!

  • The problem with bands like is that they have nothing to do with hardcore or punk. It's like the normal kids in your school starting a death metal band...and they throw in some super wimpy "melodic" singing. For melody without wimpiness, listen to DAG NASTY!!! This though, just sucks and is play-by-the-numbers rock.

  • @vadermask lol you call this death metal with wimpy singing added. get your head on straight

  • So is this band called means or connected? The description has me confused

  • @sacredxpain they are called means

  • @sacredxpain you chould have just listened to the song

  • I'm sad the guitar player is an athiest now.

  • @sonandthemoon really? what's his name?

  • @SupremeHero777 I think he's talking about Matt Goud but the only thing I found had his name misspelled so I don't know how accurate it would be to confirm the article

  • @OFM515 You're completely right. Because Matt Goud has a worship project now called The Emerson Letters

  • @Pradita18 Wait, so he kept his faith? Yes! This is exactly what I needed to hear, that just made my day. Means are the bomb, and this song always gave me goosebumps

  • @Pradita18 the emerson letters hasnt existed for like 2 years. he's got two albums out under the name northcote more recently

  • @seanskyiscool D'oh! Thanks for the update! =D

  • @SupremeHero777 Matt

  • @sonandthemoon ??? wth? Different Matt Goud from Matt Good. At least I think so

  • I miss this band..

  • Thanks for sending me strength!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Reminds me of Haste The Day for a reason :o

  • i remember seeing this band in grade 7 with holly springs... my first show ever..... and now 5 years later i listen to this band and their music is still sick too me!

  • Aaron gave me a china cymbal and signed it =) life complet!

  • Which one of these guys was in Continuance?

  • @hammerheadtaco Dylan, the screamer

  • my brother grew up with the guitar player matt goud, wicked awesome band, they really grew from means 2 an end

  • Facedown literally has no bad bands

  • facedown - yo really rock mah world evah..

  • :D

    so sick!!!

  • You like? Listen the band GLORIA. A brazilian band. Song : Asas fracas.

  • HOW FAR DO WE HAVE TO TRAVEL...........

.......HOW WILL WE RECOGNIZE EACH OTHER IF THERE ARE SCARES ON OUR FACES!

  • nice nice NIIIIICE

  • i used to LOVE this cd a few years ago when it came out. this song is still sick

  • SOOOOO DIY HARDCORE

  • @thegreatskeeve805 Post Hardcore.

  • @fallen661 Post shit MTV

  • @fallen661 stop fucking debating over the genre you loser.

  • @TheMatthewporter Shut up dumbass.

  • @fallen661 Good one man..

  • srtl, thsd, means, ligeia, cftb, so many good bands broken up. the scene is dying, the bands that stay together get big and sell out

  • I heard this song on the Torch and I really like this song now

Lol at 0:55 now I know what Brock Lesnar is doing when he's not fighting in the UFC

  • freekin amazing vocals

  • Means = The shit

Saints Never Surrender = The shit

    Continuance demo = The shit

    Continuance new CD = shit...

  • i really think sometime in the near future, means and the holly springs disaster should have a reunion tour together

  • @acefighter911 I really think sometime in the near future, you should drop fucking dead. That is one of the most pathetic comments I've read in awhile. Holly Springs doesn't deserve to be on the same bill as Means. That band is shit and always will be shit.

  • @kersedsaint They're essentially the same, and are the best of friends. Why you would make such a comment is ridiculous. They're both amazing. Go crawl in a hole head first.

  • @aporchmonkey Regarding that your name is "aporchmonkey" I think I probably should.

  • Wish I would've gotten a chance to see them live. I remember going and getting To Keep Us From Sinking the day it came out and then reading that they were going to split like six months later. made me so sad...

  • really good band

  • i miss Means so much i remeber when i was like 9 and my sister and brother were going to Means shows all the time i still have an old riped up shirt that im going to keep for life that i got from my sister

  • vocals are pretty sweet.

  • Sick !!! Great !!!

  • A foursome! Kinda like my band....sweet! ;-)

  • Well, i know of at least 15 Justin Bieber fans now...FAIL

  • I miss them so much.

  • I miss these guys!

  • CANA'FRKN'DA~! hey that would make a great breakdown

  • I forgot how much their vocalist sounds like cole from oldddd gwen stacy.

    fuck yes.

  • i dare anyone who sais this music is just noise to try and create something as beautiful as this ... it takes alot more talent than anyone can expect ...wow !!

  • @sinkorswimxxx fuck yeah it does bro

  • greatest song EVER

  • I miss Means :( Im wearing my Means shirt now :D

  • i love this vid...praise the lord

    salve regina ...

  • there are

    frankieutd

  • ever since i heard this song 3 years ago, i totally fell in love with this band

    and still loving them!

we need more bands like this!

  • @frankieutd Dude same here!!! I found them 3 years ago and still love them now. It's like you took the words right out of my mouth!!

  • i wish these guys never broke up :(

  • ive never heard of this band till now there really cool!!!

  • is that sean connery?

  • my 1st time listening to these guys and they won me over as a fan already

  • such a good scream.

  • the guitarist or bassist or w.e who does the clean vocals looks like beef from doubting benefit. ha.

  • @sk8rsrockinfl sounds like him too. lol

  • @sk8rsrockinfl sounds like him too. lol

  • i just realized how much this guy looks like spencer from underoath

  • this band played the second last time at My small college!!

  • @GTownGrad2008 they played their second last show in winnipeg you liar

  • @seanskyiscool maybe it was their last show D bag

  • @GTownGrad2008 fuck you. theyre last show was in regina and i don't think the university is considered a small college. D bag

  • @seanskyiscool ok buddy, I would know. It was a private show at Providence College in Manitoba Canada. They played the show because of a friend of theirs was at Prov. They stayed in my dorm overnight. and at that point, Matt Goud had over 11 months of beard growth

  • @GTownGrad2008 they played providence a month before they played winnipeg. i doubt they drove back from regina just to play a "private" show at a venue they just played at on their last tour

  • sick.

  • 0:20...is that the same old guy from TDWP's HTML Rulez D00d video??

  • looks like it, I think he might be in Destroy the Runner's Saints video

  • @TheFatMan202 holy crap u could be rite

  • fuckin awesome band, will be missed

  • "how far do we have to travel, just to be home again?" MEANingful... :)

  • schecter FTW :)

  • @iixlovex40z they arent an edge band. their drummer is, but thats it

  • Dylan is, and I believe Todd was too. Matt definitely isn't anymore.

  • In this song the clean(er) vocals sound just like the singer from Hot Water Music, and I love it

  • r they edge?

  • this band is fucking amazing. Definitely one of the best metalcore bands. I'm upset they broke up, but their new band Continuance is just as awseome.

  • ehh i can kinda hear an old misery signals in it before karl...either way they are soo good

  • Shame they broke up.

  • i saw them live. This song makes them sound just like Gwen Stacy

  • good video boys keep it up , loving the vocals

  • kinda has a misery signals feel to it, definitely a fan

  • haha i dont hear the misery signals in it but they are good

  • definitely a hint of mis sigs in there. but no one comes close to mis sigs.

  • good ass fucking album.......wish they were still together

  • i think this is like the 8762 time i press play in a row now !! amazing stuff

  • ya theese guys r super good, love the lead vocals.

  • Great band!

  • Why did I just find out about them a few weeks ago? Such a bummer.

  • love them

  • This is all I've ever heard of them, but this is my all time favorite song ever I think, LoL!

  • bro, you can definitely tell that his voice is no longer the same in this song compared to means' 2nd cd and in Continuance, he might still be singing, but its not the same as Connected. his voice is less metal nowadays and more hardcore (i.e. xTYRANTx, For The Fallen Dreams* old FTFD with chad ruhig, and Legend myspace , com /legendmichigan) i don't beleive it is worse but it definitely is not means.

  • ok you idiots his voice is shot like your all dumb. i played with his new band continuance like three days ago.......

  • He changed it on purpose are you kidding me?? thats almost an insult!!

  • damn, i really do miss these guys D:

  • Wish they didnt break up :(

  • intro lyrics so gooodddd

  • Zannnnnng

  • i miss these guys

  • Great band

  • Ilove this band i like theold album better but his vocals are better ont his one, like burned into me is one of my favorites by them

  • The breakdown is amazing.

  • he really should of kept his voice the same :/

  • Comment removed

  • he couldn't help it dude, his voice "broke"

  • omg no it didnt he chnged it on purpose

  • i love the breakdown man, this whole song is siiiiiiiiiick

  • @kingsalmon101 I love this song and this band. I have seen them live before they are really good people.

  • my band recorded with the same guy they recorded this album with, and according to him, he didnt mess up his voice, he just changed his style, which i can kinda see now because hes in another band

  • i wanna hear your band

  • yea i was wondering why his voice sounds so beastly in this vid then when i see live vids his voice is alot higher and sounds more like power yelling or sumthing :P

  • The singer definately sounded different after he messed up his voice, and it takes a little bit of getting used to, but I like how it sounds. It's unique. This band has their own style, which is what I love.

  • hahahaha this band came to our little shit town.. and played with my brothers old band..

unless there are 2 different bands named "Means" lol

  • if you're from canada it was probably this means.

  • Comment removed

  • Probably one of the best bands on facedown records(other than impending doom)

  • why is everyone saying that dylan screw his voice ? on the first two records it sounds that way, but if you check live videos or went to shows, it was similar to TKMFS record, it's his way to scream...if I remember well, I also read an interview which was saying that they wanted to get that more realistic and live thing but on the new record. Anyway, MEANS was the best band ever, so happy that dylan joined SNS which is now Continuance...

  • his voice used to sound like it did on sending you strength and mtwftm live tho. i like the newer style alot to tho... im just saying.

  • WOW, this is good, were has this band been, first time I hear them.

  • they broke up last year :(

they were a siiick band man

  • Damn that sucks dude, really like this song.

  • same with life in your way, love both those bands

  • Good song!

  • Means and August Burns Red FTW

  • woah weird thats all ive been listening to lately haah

  • is that father tiem? XD

hes so kewl he was in

    AILD videos and TDWP

  • im pretty sure he was in a destroy the runner and demon hunter video as well.

  • they're last show was in regina

  • Means is a band straight out of regina sask canada, and yes he changed his vocals because he ripped his vocal cord preforming a show, and personally the new stuff hurts my ears knowin his vocal cord ripped. and as far as i know now they are not a band anymore

  • I thought these guys were on underground operations, aren't Canadians?

  • UO in canada, facedown in the US i think, as for worldwide i have no clue

  • Everyone check out his new band Continuance. It's amazing. And for fans of the guitarist check out his solo stuff called the emerson letters.

  • im seeing continuance on sunday.

  • they are not really new at all they used to be called saints never surrender but changed the name after dropping their label

but yea those kids are the shit known em forever

  • i know they aren't new. I have listened to em for awhile. and known them for a long time. but its some member changes too.

  • Yes. Dylan blew out his vocal chords. He did it before they recorded To Keep Me From Sinking.

My friend told me that's what the guitarist or vocalist of For Today (I can't remember which )told him

  • That must of hurt. I'm suprised he kept singing after he blew out his vocal chords.

  • I know. I was surprised too.

  • Waldy from No Wings To Speak Of told me he changed his vocals for this cd. I actually like em. Theyre kinda different.

    Great band.

  • they broke up :(

  • when????

  • November 28th, 2008

  • omg this band is teribad!

  • can any one hook up a link to a torrent for this album....ive been lookin for ever

  • Just look on isohunt com i got the 2 newest albums that way.

  • For fans of the clean vocals check out his accoustic stuff called "The Emerson Letters" amazinggg. And Saints Never Surrender is from my state!!!! INDIANA!!! They are pure amazing.

  • according to wikipedia, they got a new vocalist, I think.

this is bullshit they broke up they started making good music with their latest 2 albums and people are starting to know about them and they broke up.

  • they got a new vocalist after the album "in red grace" and that was dylan. No new vocalist since 2004.

  • ah that explains why the old stuff sucked lol

THen did the rumor about the voice blowing up actulaly become true?

I don't get why it had to go higher i mean it's still great and all but this album is better.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah man they were great :[

pissed i missed the final show :/ gay... it was in my city and i fucking worked :/

  • Yea he blew his voice out which is why the new stuff sounds different and like the old warriors

  • so does anyone know what really happened then? Did he blow out his voice or not??

  • man their singer opened for silverstein when they played a free show in stoon, he is sooo good with just an acoustic

  • I FKN LOVED THIS BAND i was so sad when they break up i mean i only got to see them twice :( they r really such an amazing band the back vocals still give me chills

to this day i still post comments on there myspace begging them to play facedown fest this yr :(

  • why did they break up?

  • apparently the vocalist blew his voice box out during a recording sesh.

which is BS because he's already in another band.

  • absolutely wrong. he chose to go about vocals with a different style. the band he is now in is Saints Never Surrender, check them out immdediately!

  • Comment removed

  • RIP MEANS

Still don't know why you had to break up

    Lol I'll ask Blair!
