yeah of course it can if it's white.. hot tar and slag it a great roof because it constantly re-seals itself in the sun but it's generally 140 degrees in the summer. A white roof is about 10% warmer than the outside temp, a black roof can be 45-80% warmer

Can single ply roof really save energy? I'd like some one to come out and take a look at my roof. It's approx. 6,000 SF of tar & gravel roof.
