@daveposh If we don't tax everyone (except those in poverty, who have to pay sales tax, etc. anyway), how do we raise money for defense (admittedly our military is far too large and expensive ... let's cut military spending and leave the rest of the world the hell alone) and other necessary expenses?

Employers make money. Why shouldn't the pay their share?

@UnoRaza If we would stop buying stuff from China and other countries, we'd slow the bleeding of American wealth and the importing of unemployment. For one thing, I never shop at Walmart any more.

I hate to say it, but it seems to me that in a global economy we will have to accept a somewhat lower standard of living, which of course has already been happening. We're still pretty well off.

We tried complete protectionism in the past, and that didn't work out so well.

I was the fool and had been programmed by the fking tv to react this way; the 'tin-foil hat' meme; when it was researched it was found to be conspiracy science/fact. Again, which can be corroborated with numerous data and is now even openly admitted as being 'needed for peace'.
