Wow. This is so awesome! I remember this song from when i was in 6th grade. I have been humming the melody of this song to myself for 20 years and now i have FINALLY been able to hear it again. I caught the end of it on the radio but they didnt say who it was so i typed in the lyrics on google and here i am. Great song. I thought it would be corny but its still amazing

I, too, was at The Moore Theatre with my sister! : ) Incredible show...every time I've seen them LIVE over the last 20 years they have been consistently PHENOMENAL!!!
I find the lyrics dark. It reminds me of things said in the books of revelation about the end of times.......................... I'm not religious at all. But i have seen a documentary about it on history channel about how the sun light will be blocked by something & then they also mentioned how the fish will die..
just saw them last night (10-06-2011) at the Moore Theater in Seattle. They are still rockin' as hard as they ever have. AMAZING SHOW!!!!!! AMAZING BAND !!!!!!!
@eisenkreuzmusik If he takes his HIV medication he will likely not die because of the infection, but by one of the usual common diseases such as heart attack, stroke, cancer or something similar. HIV is currently no curable but it is easy to treat it well. Therefore, the disease is not a big problem in rich countries, but in Africa, because it is often untreated.
This is one of my all time fav Erasure songs. Went bananas seeing them at the Hollywood Palladium last night. Love my British pop gents...boy do the Brits produce fab dance music...but for the life of me...I can't believe they are not more mainstream BIG like Duran Duran...everytime I see them it is in a small 3000 ppl venue. THE WORLD should know ERASURE....so much JOY I get from their HAPPY music.
Totally awesome song which takes you back to a certain time,i thing he's really underated and deserves more credit for his vocals which are pure andy bell which nobody can copy. Most new bands too me are all the same, garbage.
I heard this last Friday on a jukebox in a coffee bar, had always loved it, but only remembered the "chorus" and never knew who sang it. Although now I know, it is so obviously an Erasure song. I love it and it comes into my mind often. What an absolutely Eighties' corker.
Regardless of the lead singer's sexual orientation Erasure, in my opinion, are one of the best groups ever. When I was very young Erasure is all that was played.
matters if they are heterosexual, homosexual, what matters is that they are fantastic, this song especially perfect fit for the times you open your eyes and remember the beauty of the world we do not see, trapped at work. In South America we love.
Thx for posting this. I've looked for it for years after seeing it only once. It's amazing what these two can achieve, even reproducing their CD quality live. Outstanding ! -^..^-
Genius. And it's only ten year's later that we can appreciate that fact, now that music is Tinnie Tempar bollocks. Talent black hole. Lady GaGa watching this will piss her pants, You will never get as good as this darling. So piss off.
I thought I heard a story that Andy and Vince were in a little bit of trouble when they buried them (up to their necks) in sand. What I heard was that the tide was coming in, which was making it difficult to dig them out of the sand. I guess it was a scary moment for Vince and Andy....You can see the moment at 1:51 where the water is sweeping over him. That is NOT a good sign...What was that director thinking?
Maldita sea, había buscado esta canción desde hace 20 años!!!! No sabía quién la cantaba ni como se llamaba, pero hoy, hoy la he encontrado... MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!!!!!!!

Hi, well it is hard to believe 20 years has passed away. I always wanted to record this on my VCR, but never catched this piece. And we still aren't. In Europe they were popular though. We Americans have this phenomenon known mostly to us called the Religious Right. Ugh. Most Europeans dont have a problem with gays. We are way behind.
@cjs33139 they did have a couple top 40 hits off the first album. This album though came out right around the time that the category of "alternative" music was co-opted and rebranded by the big corporate labels and the newly consolidating radio networks as a way to market Grunge bands. Erasure & other electronic bands were not part of the marketing plan. But yes homophobia did hurt their US success.
@blueray1969 You ignorant ass. Hungary was an example since i've lived here for many years. They are Europeans. The point was that Americans have become more tolerant that you think.
