  • Wow. This is so awesome! I remember this song from when i was in 6th grade. I have been humming the melody of this song to myself for 20 years and now i have FINALLY been able to hear it again. I caught the end of it on the radio but they didnt say who it was so i typed in the lyrics on google and here i am. Great song. I thought it would be corny but its still amazing

  • I, too, was at The Moore Theatre with my sister! : ) Incredible show...every time I've seen them LIVE over the last 20 years they have been consistently PHENOMENAL!!!

  • I hope he keeps living like Magic Johnson. Andy rocks!!!!!!!!!

  • @KINOLOCO1 Why do you say that??? has he got aids?

  • @caezar1993 No, HIV, so he is not dying.

  • Love this song.

I find the lyrics dark. It reminds me of things said in the books of revelation about the end of times.......................... I'm not religious at all. But i have seen a documentary about it on history channel about how the sun light will be blocked by something & then they also mentioned how the fish will die..

Love this song I love erasure

  • Oh dear another good one down poor andy xx

  • dear Heaven, please find the cure for HIV/AIDS ASAP!

This man is a treasure of humanity and cannot be lost!

  • @eisenkreuzmusik : I did not know, that is devastating. I could not agree with you more :(

  • @eisenkreuzmusik not Andy Bell.....omg I dont think I could bear it.

  • @eisenkreuzmusik I do hope you mean Vince!

  • @templarseries no, Andy

  • @eisenkreuzmusik If he takes his HIV medication he will likely not die because of the infection, but by one of the usual common diseases such as heart attack, stroke, cancer or something similar. HIV is currently no curable but it is easy to treat it well. Therefore, the disease is not a big problem in rich countries, but in Africa, because it is often untreated.

  • @camilla1974 thats why they havnt cured it yet

theyre makin money off these pills before they bring out the nxt cure

the last desiese cured was polio yrs ago....think on

  • This is one of my all time fav Erasure songs. Went bananas seeing them at the Hollywood Palladium last night. Love my British pop gents...boy do the Brits produce fab dance music...but for the life of me...I can't believe they are not more mainstream BIG like Duran Duran...everytime I see them it is in a small 3000 ppl venue. THE WORLD should know ERASURE....so much JOY I get from their HAPPY music.

  • Another all time beautiful Erasure Song!:-)

  • great song!!

  • 1989-1993 bit o' a wave of good tunes. seen any waves approaching lately? s'been a while

  • I heard this last Friday on a jukebox in a coffee bar, had always loved it, but only remembered the "chorus" and never knew who sang it. Although now I know, it is so obviously an Erasure song. I love it and it comes into my mind often. What an absolutely Eighties' corker.

  • Erasure one of the greatest bands of the 80's, love this song its so catchy

  • They were Britains most popular band for a time.

Beautiful love songs abound their albums.EVERYONE i knew liked them,or at least respected them.Happy days.

  • Regardless of the lead singer's sexual orientation Erasure, in my opinion, are one of the best groups ever. When I was very young Erasure is all that was played.

  • es una obra de arte que no puedes dejar de escuchar y escuchar hasta el fin de los tiempos

  • Vince Clarke you are a god of hardware......

  • I like his hair!!!

  • Im off to see them in Bristol in October.......CANNOT FUCKING WAIT :-)

  • Genius. And it's only ten year's later that we can appreciate that fact, now that music is Tinnie Tempar bollocks. Talent black hole. Lady GaGa watching this will piss her pants, You will never get as good as this darling. So piss off.

  • have to admit. i was against andy. but, he's fantastic!! my mistake :(

  • im going to see them in wolverhampton in october.

  • 80's forever!!

  • @RaylaneDove Yeah pal! 80's are for ever, but this one is already 1991 :-)

  • QUE GRAN TEMA, ESPECTACULAR,

  • I thought I heard a story that Andy and Vince were in a little bit of trouble when they buried them (up to their necks) in sand. What I heard was that the tide was coming in, which was making it difficult to dig them out of the sand. I guess it was a scary moment for Vince and Andy....You can see the moment at 1:51 where the water is sweeping over him. That is NOT a good sign...What was that director thinking?

  • Hi, well it is hard to believe 20 years has passed away. I always wanted to record this on my VCR, but never catched this piece. I remember me watching this on MTV and the "Braun European Top 20" shown on Saturdays 19-21 CET and Sundays 11-13 CET. Do you remember this as well? I still recall these music Saturday evenings... I was then about 12.

  • @tomeekh It hasn't passed away, just passed by. Bump this in your stereo in your car and re-live it every day :)

  • @bruteforcetraining Thanks for the language correction!

Yesterday I was listening this song for a half an hour :-) My wife brought to bed, finally :-).

  • @tomeekh...Yes I think I remember watching the chart, was it presented by Davina McCall by any chance?

  • Erasure Mi Grupo Favorito

  • Lady Gaga's anthem Born This Way reminded of this.

  • @lizprimo oh god. don't bring "her" work into this. this music may be no more "real" than gaga's; but this has merit. it's always been about money, but give me break.

  • God that takes me back......I forgot just how good Erasure really were!

  • @weegieman67 -- Great comment!! I've been an Erasure fan for a long time. The 80's was such a terrific decade for music! Peace2U, Alex

  • is Vince playing some kind of strange old Moog, or what? what is that? does anyone know?

  • Holy fuck, why did they make that zoom to his balls?

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone else think Andy Bell looks like Mathew Horne from the catherine tate show in this video?

  • I like Erasure but missed this one somehow?! See it's from 1991. Thanks!

  • oh my gosh ! Andy , I Iove you , I would like to make sex with you .

  • Probably the best high energy Erasure song. A great anthem.

  • Wow! This was good then and it is good now. Awesome video,

  • One of the most underrated groups ever, they are amazing.

  • @bigpotplant Underrated because they were one of the first groups ever to have an openly gay guy as the front man. We weren't ready for a gay friendly band, even in the early 90s. And we still aren't. In Europe they were popular though. We Americans have this phenomenon known mostly to us called the Religious Right. Ugh. Most Europeans dont have a problem with gays. We are way behind.

  • @cjs33139 You'd think we hadn't already had Soft Cell and Bronski Beat/Communards...

  • @cjs33139 i don't, and i'm not gay. i was raised in texas. and i'm not "liberal" in any sense of the word. i just like good music.

  • @cjs33139 <<< Fine. More for me. ;)

  • @cjs33139 they did have a couple top 40 hits off the first album. This album though came out right around the time that the category of "alternative" music was co-opted and rebranded by the big corporate labels and the newly consolidating radio networks as a way to market Grunge bands. Erasure & other electronic bands were not part of the marketing plan. But yes homophobia did hurt their US success.

  • @cjs33139 Most? Really? Do you have data to back up that statement. You might be thinking of Western Europa, but even then i would not say most.

In Hungary, they need the police to protect their parade from eggs. So Americans are not so bad.

  • @whimsicalocean Hungarians are practically Asians! What do you expect???

  • @blueray1969 You ignorant ass. Hungary was an example since i've lived here for many years. They are Europeans. The point was that Americans have become more tolerant that you think. Also i don't think homophobia killed their success in the U.S. their success declined even in Europe after Always in 1995 and until Solsbury Hill in 2005. If you know anything about U.S. they are not a techno/synth listening country. Changing taste and times cooled their fame for awhile. Grunge and rap hit it big.

  • @whimsicalocean oh yeah I know - and that awful soft rock rubbish too :)

  • @cjs33139 ...but may be not...is just a point of view...

  • @bigpotplant

You're right, man! Much too underrated. Love them!

  • @bigpotplant They aren't underrated.... lots of folks have heard of Erasure. It's just too poppy for some people.

  • @pathogensmusick Honestly listen to some of there album tracks and you will see what i mean, yea i agree the pop ones made it to the charts but they made some really left of field stuff that made them well worth a listen,i tried to describe it here but had to delete, and also a lot of erasure fans love synth and you have to say they have played there part in its evololution.
