  • Don't worry Karenpato1, your backup is here. I've been a provider of bluebird nestboxes for 20 years, and there aren't any good explitives I can use to describe my loathe of this "bird". I use a .22 out at mom's; a pellet gun here in town; a repeating trap; and nestbox traps. The only good house sparrow, is a dead one. Those who do not know the murderous nature of this bird, I invite you to visit the Sialis.com website. If you want bluebirds, kill every last house sparrow, or you won't have any.

  • i've only seen it once, and that was it in the down town of a farming community

  • soooooooooooooo cute,never seen one :(

  • Great video! I've only seen one, once in my life and I live in PRIME country where they should technically be living. :( Check my bird maps, go out birding....no bluebirds. Saw mine at picnic area along Interstate 90 in Illinois! LOL

  • I just saw one today, it was an amazing experience! I'm glad that I got a chance to see one considering I live in the suburbs! Also, @karenpato1 some house sparrows were also in my backyard with eh bluebird and as far as I know, the sparrows didn't seem that concerned on murdering the bluebird....

  • Thanks...Another bird to watch out for next time I visit North America. Last time I visited Georgia I saw a Red Cardinal for the first time. Your birds tend to have stronger colours than ours.

    Thanks for posting

    Regards, Peter

  • Wanna see more bluebirds and chickadees?.......get rid of the murderous house sparrows.....house sparrows males will kill mothers of these eggs/babies and break eggs and/or kill the young by pecking them or throwing them out of the nest......and they'll take over the nest and build on the corpses.......House sparrows are NOT protected ....You are ALLOWED TO KILL HOUSE SPARROWS.

......and if you wanna see bluebirds in the suburbs?? KILL the house sparrows as you see them ....for example...bb gun

  • @karenpato1 No, noone here will kill sparrows!

  • seen lots of bluebirds lately!

  • I've seen blujays, but never in my life have I seen a Bluebird. :(

  • I saw one the other day. I love looking at them.

  • Put up a blue bird nest and they will come in as much as they are in your area.

  • Bluebirds need to be protected as the invasive House Sparrows kill the adults and destroy their eggs

  • I've never once seen a bluebird in real life.

  • I saw one a few days ago. I have only seen 2 in my almost 15 years of life.

  • The best thing to see at your feeder is a blue bird, Cardinal, and a goldfinch all at the same time.

  • Very nice video..

  • If a redbird is a cardinal, what is a bluebird?

  • I see redbirds all the time but very RARLY bluebirds, but nothing is prettier than the sight of a redbird and bluebird together.

  • I love bluebirds! They're awesome!

  • We have a real fat bluebird in our yard.Posted a vodeo response but its not a bluebird curious if you ever seen a whiteheded bluejay.theres one that hangs out in our yard.
