there is a thing to remember though, dont make it too god, so that if it does become famous, the movie can be built on. harry potter is famous for starting out abstract, and even at the end when the details fit together your still left with little holes that you dont notice till the movie comes out, you know, subtle.

but thats just me, do what you like, just thought i could help.

@trandomphatguy Thank you. I finished the first draft of this novel a long time ago. I think I will make a graphic novel out of after I am finished with my End of All graphic novel.

I was going to watch all 12 before I left a comment but already by the 4th one I have to say "thank you" you are bring the Anatomy of Story to life.  This is very helpful to see a step by step of this in action, from the ground up. It's kind of frustrating when all you get are examples of already established brilliant stories.

wow, these are great videos, way better than any other video I've seen on youtube.

I want to give my main character a fear of spiders (because I have a fear of spiders too), but I don't know how to confront her with it. do you have an idea?

It's hard to say without knowing what type of story it is, but there are several ways to have a character face their fear of spiders.

But if it doesn't play into the story, then the MC need not overcome that fear.

For example if it is a fantasy, then you could have her face off with a spider woman enemy. half spider, half woman.

these videos are helping me a lot. im trying to create a manga and the biggest problem for me was writing the actual story completley out and this has helped me plan it out a lot better. also while watching just thinking back on videos i can realize how much was put into my favorite mangas ive read
