Very nice. Watch your pitch, slightly under at times. Bow contact with d.stops and change of strings. Dynamics are well thought out not a result of not keeping the weight in the bow; down up etc. Best, Michael
while, i can probably admit that this is the best video of this piece on youtube, it could still use some improvements. The most noticeable thing that struck me was the harshness of the triple-stops. But the energy for them is good. I also dont agree with some of the interpretations. Id suggest that you listen to a recording by Michael Zaretsky :)
but regardless of my comments, really good job! and congrats on eastman
Yeah. Lots of reverb. Best to collect the really harsh criticism using dry recordings. Reverb hides all the mistakes and is friend to everyone. But use it more sparingly if you want to really inflate your ego. He he.
I have sent a personal message to you. You have talent, but there iss always room for improvement. PLEASE don't get big headed about being talented; it will only lead to future frustration. In the music world there is always someone better, so follow that line of thinking. If you do, your future could indeed be bright.
ahhhhhh!!! omg you are so amazing. i'm not even just saying that to be nice. you are at a really advance level musically. unlike some people on here who just play well or ok... but you're amazing really.
great stuff. my personal taste: this is a bit too beautiful? haha i think sometimes the colors can change a bit more imaginatively. It doesn't sound quite like the nightmare world I have envisioned. Play around with not vibrating (fully) on some notes? i dunno it's pretty nice though
Oh my gosh Justin....AND ANOTHA ONE! The low notes sent chillz up my spine! Ur amazing Justin! I'm soooo lucky i go to your school!...well not really anymore, lol. WOOT GO JUSTIN!
This is really beautiful!! I'm about to learn it and I'm listening to your recording to help with that. Great!!

This is an extremely mature interpretation.
This piece is extraordinarily complicated and you hold down the facets very well--it stands up there with Nokathula's version for sure.
How old are you?
