@EllisFitz1995 When and If you pass P-Company I believe you serve a minimum of 3 years before your eligible to apply for the Pathfinder Cadre, obviously when your in mate you'll bump into them and even into the UKSF a few times throughout your service (most of these blokes aren't the illusive, balcony dashers we think just a set of incredible soldiers. Also you don't get chosen for SAS selection you can now after the 3 years put in for UKSF selection through your Company CO

@EllisFitz1995 its a parachute unit mate pathfinders are part of 16 air assault u cant apply for a position in the unit its like the SAS u go through selection the paras Pegasus unit is also the same..

@EllisFitz1995 I spoke to a family friend who was a pathfinder and he says its best to get to Lance Corporal and then go for the pathfinder cadre most of their work is vehicle basted and they only take on the best so thats what i intend to do :)

why do pathfinders insist on spraying their guns it really makes no differance

@smurfiain2K10 its a psychological war, pathfinders are like their name pathfinder, they find mark and wait till the target is destroyed. By firing rapidly the enemy wouldn't realise what's coming while the other unit can pin point and call in for a strike. Further keep firing makes the enemy at bay and can't see what happening.

This is certainly true, but soldiers tend to kill more civilians than enemy soldiers anyways.

I have to say though, those who support war are probably the most pathetic, as they are normally the ones who don't even touch the battlefield.
