  • Oh hai! Have you ever tried intellectus 424 diet (do a google search)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin lost a lot of weight with it.

  • I went on the F plan diet and eat loads of fibre day in and day out - my arsehole went slack through all that wind - I now know what the 'F' stands for.

  • @dilwich123 if you have been taking a low fiber diet,you shuld not suddenly increase your fiber intake. start by taking 2 whole fruits a day for a week. that should give you 7 to 8 grams of fiber. avoid bran cereal and too much greens for the first week. 2nd week take 3 whole fruits and one serving of greens. that should give you 15 grams of fiber. week 3 aim for 2 serving of greens 3 whole fruits and high fiber bread or cereal. that will give you close to 30 grams.try to maintain that.

  • @dilwich123 i regular take 5 whole fruits per day and 2 serving of veg and high fiber bread with no problems. start low and increase fiber slowly.

  • i recently increased fiber intake by a pretty high number...there's a decent amount of gas coming out the back door to say the least...anyone know how long my body will take to adjust?

  • ok & THE ATKINS DIET IS SHIT too. anyone who tells you to eat tons of meat & says that fruit is bad is a liar & i run away

    i refuse to give up fruit....no way never...but seriously, eating too much fibre is bad & ruins your digestion, im serious & it happened to me. its really & will give you GAS...lots of it. my mom is a high fibre freak & she has gas all the time....its not pretty either

  • high fiber will make you bloated & gassy, & have incredibly slow digestion & malabsorption.

    i know fro experience, although ive always had a normal weight, my high fibre dinners made me ridiculosly bloated & gassy for hours, & i have acid reflux

    SAY NO to high fibre. at least avoid all those grains & crap b/c the bulk in fibre will clog your intestines & prevent nutrient absorption

  • @BellaaMarlene Yes I had the same experience but high fiber removes toxins from your body and is good for the heart and high blood pressure. When I was in my early 20's I had no problem ingesting 20-30 gms of fiber a day; infact it helped clear my system out faster than normal, but now in my early 30's Fiber gets me bloated ,gassy and slows my digestion. I'm in a dilemna, I try eating salads , but soluble fiber definately gives me a lot less gass than insoluble fiber.

  • i know some of you may not like it, but weetabix is a pretty good high fibre option for breakfast. You don't have to eat it every day(you'll get sick of it) but you guys should try it. I eat this in the morning plus i use benefiber too.

  • please discuss w stephen that he may need better terminology than "all natural." in the organic world, "all natural" is a label the corporations are starting to use to make products seem better, but in fact it means nothing. "all natural" has no standard. it adheres to nothing w respect to gov requirements.
