    I assume he baked them into a normal map.

    ..and booleans are evil, unless you can really control and fix the crappy geometry it (usually) leaves behind.

  • One quick question for anyone that might know. At 1:06 how did you re-attach the faces to the mesh, you seem to go off screen and i can't see.

  • I don't think he did, he's just floating geometry on the surface, not actually attached.

  • he just zeroed out his transforms because he first made a copy and moved it out of the way and worked on it and the zeroed out the translate and it popped back to where it originally came from

  • I believe he just zero'd out translate transformations so it snaps back to its original position. Should work with anything so long as you dont freeze transformations.
