  • if you adjust the bottom layer all the way to the right from what ive seen on other videos this enhances the image and makes it sharper :)

  • I was sent here by a Registax expert from Twitter. Brilliant to see a really useful tutorial with no self-glorifying gumph. Taught me more than loads of other vids.

    Thanks mate!

Hope you continue to post vids as you learn more.

    Thanks again.

  • Hi Scott, thanks for the tutorial, much appreciated. Hope the tea was good :)

  • Thank you so much! You made this so easy for me. Cheers

  • Excuse me, I'm gonna to drink a tea ^^

  • thanks for this!

  • Just a couple of comments - I didn't see where you went through the images and grabbed the best capture. The first one is not always the best and there is a final tab that you can use to change some of the images too, that you might want to explore. The other thing is that you made an assumption in here that everyone knows how to use Adobe Photoshop. Not everyone uses that program some use others such as Imagees Plus for astrophotos.

  • Thank You very much for the tutorial.... they way you talk, I know you from UK....

  • Thanks so much! That helps a lot to get me started with Registax.

  • That was really useful - thanks for the video. I can now get much better images of Juptier.

  • Thanks, this helped a lot :)

  • Thanks for doing this. What tool can I use to decompress mpeg4?

  • Nice video. Some people have been using Virtual Dub to extract video stills for Registax. I guess you can go through those stills with Windows and just delete ones that are blurry or out of focus, etc.

  • Thanks very much Theninjagecko.

    Next pint is on me.

    Cheers.

  • Merci ! cela m'a bien aidé à démarrer.

  • Hello mate,

Great tutorial , I just started with registax but I wander if u can processe a single pic and if u can processe multiple files on 1 go.

    Cheers

  • I'm just starting with astroimaging, wondering on how to make my images better/sharper. I bumped into registax on a few sites, but I honestly didn't have a clue how to use the darn thing. Thanks for great and easy to understand tutorial dude!

  • Great....but how do you stack individual still images?

  • hey scott this was nice.

I have bought a Sony-DSC-HX1 foe X-mas and shot Orion using the camera lens only, but it shoots its video in either HD or VGA size but in .mp4 files and I can't seem to open such a file with Registax 5.

though my smaller SONY DSC-T200 shoots video in .mov file and I have no problem.

    Advise!

  • @milionis just reencode the video to .avi or mpeg
