Hey who did your interor? U picked the right motor for ya swap. The Northstar is a great motor IF u get 1that had the matenace done at the right place/on time. If not it can get REAL expensive Real quick. And not enough speed parts. Nice swap.
I motor is in the back and the fenders has flares too. Looks not bad for a fiero lol. I would want to pay the gas he said. On the highway it takes about 12mph per gallon lol.
The V8 LS4 is it all aluminum anyway ?. Shouldn't be that heavy. Well u think anyway. It's only 5.3L or 327 CI V8. I saw one with a 502 Bigblock V8 into a Fiero. Custom parts for doing that. But it works good. It's street legal. But the guy said he mostly drags it. I said how fast for the drag strip ? 5.8 sec. I said pop your hood. So he did and there's two turbos and plus other stuff too. It has corvette rimes too. He also said it has some drive chain into it. Most be axles i think lol.
Ohhhh ls4. Wierd. For some reason I thought it was some sort of vet engine. Okay I've been in the impalas with the ls4. The active fuel management should make that pointy fiero get 30mpg+ (sure you don't care).
Anyway, cool swap. I assume you used the transmission from the impalla or lacrosse or whatever it came from?
Well shoot. Not bad. That's about how much you end up spending on the 3800sc. What is the v8 and axels from? And by any chance have you clocked your gas mileage?
Do you get and entire wire harness bumper to bumper with entire dash, gauges, 6 disc radio, HVAC controles, steering wheel and columb and a crate full of stuff for the $2,000 3800? I could activate the sat radio If I wanted it and I LOVE the remote ketless entry and remote start with auto climate control that I now have in my Fiero.
I used to own an 85 2M6 4 spd, but always wanted a SC L67 in it. The northstar swap was popular back then but compared to the mods you could/can get for the Series II it was a better motor (I thought) for the car. Must've done alot of massaging to squeeze that LS4 in there. Nicely done.
@welditrick Why go v8 when there still aren't that many tough axles available for the torque the v8 is going to put on the back of that car under the engine weight.
I'd just stick to the v6s that are giving just as promising results with turbos, good gas mileage, and decent sound... Unless it's a v8 gotta have it for big wiener type thing.

Well geez. If all that is true it sounds like it would be difficult to replicate that swap for the same cost... That's one hell of a deal. Seriously.
Are you using the stock getrag tranny or did you go with something else?

I get 25 mpg average from tank to tank calculated at the pump.
I used the LS4 axle set and did some mixing and matching to fit them to the Fiero.

my stock 92 s10 blazer did better burnouts in both of your burnout vids

@Jackedup2day
It's a mid-engine car for god's sake. All of the weight is above the rear wheels so the car just wants to squat and take off.

shit i heard you could throw that 32valve northstar v8 in those thats the one to have.

@creesugarbaby
The NorthStar is a great engine, I drove one and liked it. But there is fewer after maket parts for them than the GM LSx engines.

Why V8? Well it was VERRRY cheap. I did not add up the cost but off the top of my head I would say I put $2,000 in it to get it running.
It sounds better than the 3.5 Twin Cam all aluminum V6 I had in it and has more power. It is more fun to drive with the V8 too.
The axles are the factory V8 stuff.

what tranny are using

@sonnych69
The 4T65EHD that the engine came with in the 2006 Monte Carlo SS. It is a 4 speed auto.

That was a really short burnout, I could have gone longer, but I gave up after it got crooked right off the start.
