I spent several years in the military and every time a black soldier got in trouble they would pull the race card. I was attacked by a black NCO (SGT. Pallor) in a club in Germany. They let him off because he complained that I was a racist and made everything up. I'm sick of this and every one, blacks, whites etc. need to take responsibility for their actions. Richards took responsibility for his action, so that should have been it.

I feel his pain. He made an awful mistake and said some very bad things but that's a very human thing to do. Nobody's perfect. I forgive this man for what he did, because he obviously feels extremely bad for doing so and I'm sure this still lingers in his mind all these years later.

As a matter of fact, there is still a newspaper (run by black people as ADVOCATES of black people") called "The Afro-American".
So please explain how "Afro-American" compares to the types of slurs you made reference to.

And if you are talking about the African Slave trade, the people (who are black) sold their own people (who are also black) into said slavery which happen to be in the USA. But to respond to your comment of Africans selling Africans. I have heard strong arguments that it isn't true. I don't care. But what I do know is that slavery is wrong no matter what. This is no excuse. And it's a totally different thing when someone can be identified in a foreign land as a slave simply on the color of their skin. It's been over a hundred years in America since slavery and we can still feel it's impact.

@KuntyKike Afro-Amercan is short for African-American. I don't see where that is offensive at all. Although "black" and "white" and "asian" is commonly frown upon, they are just words, harmless words that only become hateful when the person puts the hate in them.
It's like that guns thing people say, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Same goes to words, in my opinion.

Let's all take a moment right now to forgive Michael Richards already. It was years ago, and I'm positive everyone has moments like these that they regret. Sure Michael overreacted, but let's all remember that these are the things we do when we get angry or insulted. We say things we don't necessarily mean to get even with each other. Then later on we apologize and move on.
Michael Richards is a good-hearted guy, a great actor and he always will be!
