  • sigh.... wonder why Canada doesn't have it, opse nvm cause our government follow America. Sigh, and they won't do it cause the citizen will just steal the vending machine itself. LOL sad but true

  • In Italy they're always made in this way.

  • asians: kind & smart

    westerners: ...not soo much

  • @NipponNoUtaIchiban

There are western asians, as in asian people who live in western countries. Your comment should be that in countries like Japan, manners and schooling are held at a very high cultural standard, while in other nations it is based on the individual families. I know plenty of nasty "asian" people, as well as any other race or creed here in the States. You can't label an entire race, that's racist.

  • @MikeEsex mmk, sorry for saying it the wrong way.

    Japanese: kind and smart

    (Most) americans: ...not soo much

  • there was a vending machine that has no door, when I was a pupil (of an elementary school ) . my classmate stole some soft drinks from the door of the vending machine and I stole a glance at the wrong.

    (;´д`)

  • The one in my highschool grabs the drink with an arm and then puts it in a little door which opens out for you to grab. It's easier. In America

  • @besteli1 you think they don't have that in japan? lol...

i have those here in Florida aswell,

  • It doesn't hand the drink to you and unscrew the cap?

    FAIL!

  • That is one of the BEST inventions ever! Thanks for the video.

  • Genius. I cannot stand that damn door when reaching for my drink.

  • he starts almost every video with, "HeeeeEEEYYYY ggguUUUUyys!"

  • WHY THE HELL DONT WE HAVE THESE IN AMERICA?!!!??!?

At my HS and now college I ALWAYS GET MY HANDS CAUGHT IN THOSE DOORS! >:(

  • @ndgh209 We have convenience stores every block, giant super stores that are cheap as hell, and phones that can talk to us! Life gets so convenient here I'm positive any country would say "why are they bitching about their vending machines?!" Life has to be a pain in the ass in some small form>XD

  • You dont expect anything less from Japan.

    Awesome.

  • Simple but genius :D Love it!

  • i was getting tired of breaking my wrist to get my drink finally someone cares!! :)

  • Love japan but we have better vending machines here in my country :D Our machines have robotic hands that grab what you choosed and pass it to you through a opening so you dont even have to bent.

  • there's a machine in one of the walmarts here where you select the drink you want and a small conveyor belt moves it to a large bottle shaped opening

  • A door that is automatic? What is this sorcery??

  • makes sense.. and it's pretty cool. Hope there's a sensor to know when you've taken the drink out.

  • That dubbing voice sounds bored to death.

  • @hk8ray you get used to it after a few videos. To hear his excited voice look at the Japan-glish videos. ;).

  • What a fuken winer! To much extra work for you dude?

  • It's the little conveniences like this which make Japan such a neat place.

  • Wow! How awesome is this shit! FABULOUS indeed.

  • well thats pointless unless theu have a problem touching somthing other people have touched

  • @1ukjunglednbraver Nah it's not pointless the point of it is to make it easy to take your drink out of the machine. Don't know if you have ever used a vending machine before but sometimes its hard to take your drink because the door gets in your way.

  • @ZMVPZ i really havent ever had that problem

  • why do u even need a door there?

  • @SabFilms2000 to stop people from reaching up into the vending machine and taking whats in it.

  • @luvshugo yeh i no but there must be a way to protect the stuff inside besides the stupid door we have, you know what i mean?

  • @SabFilms2000 Yea I do haha but I guess the door could also stop animals from going in them? xD

  • @luvshugo yeah i suppose so haha

  • @SabFilms2000

Maybe keep inside the machine clean.(dust, dirt etc etc)

  • @kyixtol good point

  • I'd hate to be the person that gets their hand caught in the automatic door when it automatically closes.Cause you know some imbecile will.

  • @1964Yojimbo It'd probably be a gaijin XD

  • @1964Yojimbo Not really, automatics doors in nowaday systems stop and re-open when something is stopping them.

  • No

  • why bother having the door

  • Thank you for the video.

  • robots in japan playlist? :D

  • At university we've got something similar...but in Japan they definitely have bigger vendig machines!!!

  • i am not going to lie it would be cute to see a Japanese girl in a short skirt bent over struggling to grab something out of the vending machines haha I think that's the first bad comment I have ever left

  • Or just don't have a door lol

  • I've seen that here in the states...

  • omg the door opens....amazing...

    >_>

  • also saw a similar one in the netherlands... but sometimes the door refused to open, which was pretty frustrating.

  • those also exist in Canada! They're rare but there was a couple at my college.

  • put a used soda can back in and see if it eats it.

  • Lol "take your drink without allegedly breaking your wrist". This is why Japan is so awesome!

Top 3 reasons to go to Japan:

    1. Food

    2. Culture

    3. Vending Machines

    .

  • @OfficiallyR3levant i think he said "leisurely" not "allegedly" :)

  • why are there so many vending machines in japan

  • only in Japan lol

  • 0:18 that looks like a female hand to me... or is it just me?

  • LOL Ah yes, I can't tell you how many times I've "broken my wrist" trying to get the soda out..... ^_^

  • The us needs more vending machines.

  • @LeafySuburb the US is a bit too big for it (vending machines) to be as concentrated as it is in Japan and also the population isn't as densely pact as it is in Japan.

  • ''Without having to break your wrist'' XD

  • Does it seem to have motion sensors so as to not close down on a particularly slow-moving patron's wrist? :c I feel as though that'd happen to me.

  • Japan - the land of innovation.

  • Yay! a vending machine video!!

  • I've actually found one of these here in the US! They are not common but oh they are so nice!

  • simplicity is power! this proves it!

  • How about no doors?

  • Wait, why is the door even there then? I thought maybe so that the drink doesn't fly out, but the door opens before the drink even gets sent down.

  • Only in Japan!

  • They have different machines where I am, its like a conveyor belt goes to the row and drops it in a vertical slot. Superior to this but this is nice :)

  • heeeeeyyyyyyyy ggggggguuuuuuuuuuuuuuyyyyyyyysssssss!!!!!!

  • Could you do a video on Pepsi Next? I've seen it in Japan but could never find it in any store.

  • .....this makes me love japan more. ur gonna see america "invent" this idea in 50 years

  • @mrkillswitch17 Nope never happen in 50 yrs or even 100 yrs..America is way to busy trying to rule the entire planet..inventing one of these vending machines is not on there things to do list!..(nice thought thow)

  • @Midnightryder7 hell, even central american countries which is supposedly "poor" to the U.S. has better machines and electronics, some you wouldn't have even thought of. its sad knowing even the poorest countries are elevating to better technology and politic reasoning.

  • @Midnightryder7 100% agree lol

  • @Midnightryder7 My college has some pretty nice vending machines... they don't even drop at the bottom, they pop out of their little spot, slide to the side, an elevator takes them up or down, and they slide into a door that is at about waist level.

  • @Midnightryder7 So true.

  • one handed retrieval!

  • I think it's a lazy idea xD~

  • I think this is kind of stupid. If you suck so much that you hurt yourself when getting something out of a vending machine, you may want to take a long look at yourself...

  • It'd be even more brilliant if the system was mechanical in stead of electronic. Like, if the drink pushed something that opens the door and when you take it out it slowly closes due to pistons slowing the closing motion (so you won't get caught).

But having seen a lot of these video's, it's not surprising that Japan fixed this with electronics :p Nor would I be surprised if the machine talked :p

  • Yea but.. what if you didn't pay much attention and the door closed?

  • @iceteaz Generally when you're buying a drink, you'll take it out as soon as it drops down. :P

It has a pretty long delay as you can see from the video, and it probably has a system where it opens back up when it meets 'resistance' (aka a hand) while closing.

  • It is odd that you dont see convenient bottoms to machines anywhere I live. I mean maybe some fancy machines somewhere, but not at common places.

There are plenty without doors at all, but they have small containers at the bottom which could be made bigger like the one in this picture, and the ones with doors are annoying. Just got a soda yesterday with the doorless but less friendly slot.

Something else that annoys me, america supposedly has more vending machines, but far less variety.

  • Fabulously brilliant.

  • Hmmm... but it could launch the bottle directally into your hand while also opening it and through the magical science of Japan not a drop would spill. Or am I being stupid? hmmmm...

  • japanese things that i would like to have in my country: vending machines and food....ohh god whyyyyyy!?

  • @Kathrinaa88 I mean ..we do have vending machnes but not like the one on the video ^^

  • @Kathrinaa88 so you don't have food in your country, that must be hard :/

  • @blackcommander11 lool we do have food:) but I mean... japanese food...like the one on theJapaneseChanelDCom vids

  • Wow, even the machines are nice. LOL

  • that was one of my favourite things about some of the vending machines i saw in Tokyo, although confused the crap out of me when i first used one!

  • What happens if you get your hand trapped cause you to long as hands turning blue!

  • Nice vending machine.

  • NO! MOTTAINAI, I dislike this kind of wasteful machine.

    いやあ、これは無駄だと思うわ。誰得?

  • It absolutely blows me away how much cool stuff you discover in Japan that I've never seen before and I even live here just like you. Great work JapanChannel...

  • Comment removed

  • I really wanna live in Japan :'(

  • that machines is just like japanese men wear:

    F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.

  • Geez, if I ever get too lazy to push a plastic flap out of the way to get my drink or snack, then someone, PLEASE, just shoot me on the spot! *I* am a pretty damn lazy guy I must admit, but this is one of those things that makes me wonder what our species will be like in 100 years or so...

  • @SirReptitious actually tis is quite useful i have got my hands stuck before. if u say that then why have a machine selling drinks in the first place anyway.

  • @SirReptitious I'm not lazy, but I still find the usual machine style very annoying, at least in my country. I always get my hand stuck in there because the flap thing is so stiff and heavy.

  • I guess the only reason why they don't bring these kind of vending machines outside Japan might be because they'd be vandalized in 1 single hour

  • @VintageSH this

  • @VintageSH hahahahahahahahhah less than that!

  • @VintageSH, ive seen vending machines in the usa with plastic windows, besides as history has shown, even metal boxes to hold money (called banks) are high profile targets. at the end of the day, fire is the greatest weapon in a thief's tool kit (besides knowledge and common sense)

  • I really hope these vending machines are implemented in Australia.

  • Lol, simple but effective.

  • that's genius. I struggled sometimes but never thought it could be fixed.

  • How are your freinds and neighbors in Japan dealing with the situation in Fukashima and what are your main concerns about radiation exposure ?

  • Nope.avi

  • What sort of drinks can u get from these vending machines? Tea?

  • @CokeDannii

Soda, Juice, Coffee, Tea, Beer, and Energy Drinks.

  • @TigerPantsRocks pizza, rice, undies...

  • @CokeDannii

Have a look at the vending machine playlist.

  • @CokeDannii Water, Tea, Coffee, soft drinks, fruit drinks...ect.

  • @CokeDannii coke , tea , hot and cold coffee , beer , fanata , and lots more b

  • @CokeDannii Anything you can imagen, also beyond drinks.

  • @CokeDannii I think I saw the Fanta logo on two of the drinks.

  • @CokeDannii all kinds, sake, beer, milk, soda, juice, coffee (both hot and cold on a can) etc.

  • Pointless but cool I guess.
