They did that because they couldn't make the leader of the decepticons a gun for the whole movie, would look stupid if people came see the movie and never saw Transformers the cartoon before so hence Megatron has been upgraded in the movie to a deadly UFO type of plane.

So we all see that is the leader of the bad robots :P

i like the way "revenge is coming" opens up. In the first movie, the trailer titles opened to look like the autobots. Now the Decepticons fight back and take over

Also you got Arcee in this one she's a 2006 buell firebolt. Sideways who is a Audi R8,  And the twins, as well as THE FALLEN......now he was one of the original 13 transformers, he served Unicron the robot known as the Fallen is the one who divided the Transformers. Megatron is back and you also got Alice a pretender takes on a biological form and stalks Sam, she is played by Isabel Lucas. And theres plenty more of them.
