Well, this will take a great deal of time. You first have to train the dog to understand that it will get the treat anyway - As long as it does as you say. Leaving the treat on (and also in!) her mouth and then tell her not to take the treat, wont work. First train her not to rake from your LEFT hand, then the rest is easy...
She's a beauty and what a refreshing change to see a British Dobie vid on here. We have two Dobies and they are very intelligent and obedient. They're great with our kids but like you say, you can never let them forget who's the boss. They're a very head strong breed but so very rewarding. I'd never own another breed after having raised Dobermanns. They're the best!
I totally agree, they are great dogs. I can leave her alone with my nephews (4-7). She is great with other dogs and kids. I would never have another breed.

She NEVER snaps. Dobermanns are the best dogs in the world, loving caring affectionate and protective...IF trained properly. They are extreamly intelegent and will expolit any weakness as an owner you may have. Be firm but fair and be consistant with all trainingand the dog will love and obey you. I cherish my dog so much, but she knows who is the boss. I dog like this out of controle is lethal. Many thanks.
